The tide has been best down in new brunswick at the bridge.

Wow! You made it through Montreal and you're still alive. The last time we went through Montreal, the freeway was narrowed for construction, and it seemed like everyone was trying to push me into the temporary concrete barriers. A truly white knuckle experience. I now avoid Montreal and drop into New York state and cross Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine to get to New Brunswick.

Re. avoiding Montreal, not the end of the world.

For one who has not been to Canada before there are some very nice parts of Quebec, either going via the North Shore of the St. Lawrence or the South Shore. Even at 100 km/hr much can be seen. There are scads of camp grounds along the way.

& a number of interesting parks. These also include municipal parks, which vary from lunch tables to overnight cgs.

& I, I took the road less travelled by.

Lol...

Montreal, we sleep on one side or the other and pass through at 3 am !

I'm having differential problems and am camped out in Amherst NS right now...hope to get under way to Niagra on Tuesday.

Did Cabot trail today by rented van, my advice, plan for 2 days with a stop over night along the way...felt kind of hurried today...
