Be sure everything is covered in the policy or with a rider to the policy, Awning, AC unit, anything that is attached to the RV. Normally those are not covered and cheap to add.

I like using a major Insurance player with a Comprehensive type policy. These things can get expensive to fix.

Good Sam Insurance. (GMAC) Depending on the age, I would make sure to get Full Replacement Value. also their Emerengy Roadside Assistance (ERS).

Progressive has RV insurance with very good rates and FULL replacement coverage. Call them for a quote rather than use the website (no difference in rates but you can discuss your needs with a real person).

I would agree with GMAC. Had it for 7 years, used twice for the van and once for one of my cars. Good service and the price was right.

Whatever you get, if you own any property at all, get an "all risk" umbrella policy for your house policy.

Can buy up to $$$ millions of liability coverage on top of the basic liability coverage.

When we switched from Allstae to The Hartford thru AARP we saved a lot of money, a lot.

A few important facts...some states AAA covers RV's and others they do not. Every state is independent of the other. You cannot buy a total coverage umbrella policy using your home, etc. (verified this with 3 different companies) that will totally cover your RV. I personally found only GMAC thru Good Sam would cover all my vehicles and my motorhome components..such as damage to items never carried or part of an automobile coverage. Hopefully you will never need the insurance, but please be careful.
I must add that this post is not for entertainment as one poster adds to his, but hopefully to offer important information
