Are there any Alpinlite owners, or others, out there in space that have had or are haveing a problem with cracks on the bedroom slide, bottom forward corner.I have had cracks repaired 2 times now.On the second repair they installed a vertical splice from the corner down to the lower edge. You find this splice on most new larger fifth wheel bedroom slides, it still didn't work. Was wondering if anyone had a fix for the problem.I don't think it's something like a broken internal support , but I guess you can't rule that out.

You need to tell the year of the alpenlite. I have not seen or heard of this crack but I haven't seen everything. the year would be helpful plus the model.

I see on your profile you have the 36 ft model. No knowledge of a cracking problem on this model. t
The vertical crack on some brands is crack control because of a weak frame and flexing problems in this area. Sorry I can't answer your problem concerns.

My guess is that you have a 2006 or later Alpenlite i.e. the ones with Lippert frames. I also have one of those. Actually on my second one. Lost the first to a blowover. That is the one which also had a crack as you describe. I had not gotten around to the fix as you described but I had the tools & material to do it when the rig was lost.
My replacement is the same trailer, about a year older & one of the last Alpenlites made. At least 30,000 miles on this one including a trip to Alaska & no problems yet.
I do have an airbag pinbox & the equaflex springhanger system to minimise stresses as much as possible.

The crack is the result, not the cause. I would pull the front cap off and inspect the welds and framework for a crack at a joint allowing the flex to cause the crack in the side panel. No magic bullet here, the cause needs to be fixed to stop any further damage. It will never get better by itself.

We developed a stress fracture near the bottom and just outside our large bedroom slideout.
DRV sent materials to add an expansion joint. I was told it is rather common. We were lucky because factory is still in business. They not only paid for materials, but are reimbursing us for the labor of a Mobile Tech which was pretty high.

In 2008 we did a tour of the DRV plant specifically because we knew that DRV has a lippert frame just like our 2006 Alpenlite & I wanted a better understanding of how 5ers are put together.
I spent some time looking at a bare frame outside waiting its turn on the line. I am no welder but the difference between nice neat welding & sloppy welding is not difficult to see. Many welds were very sloppy.
A shame, since everything else about DRV is so well done.
