I just wanted to let everyone know that KC is doing well. I posted so many questions about dogs and diabetes you probably got tired of seeing me. I am happy to say we have finally figured out what it takes to maintain good numbers. She gets 5 units of insulin 2x's a day and has been doing great. We took her in to the docs today and she has gained a couple of needed pounds, doc said she looks great. What a relief to get her back to her oldself! Thanks again everyone, especially Dr. Doug !

Great news. Sometimes it takes time to find the right combination of diet, exercise and medications and for the body to do its thing to get back to a steady state. Keep up the good work KC (and you guys too!!)

I am so happy to hear this, I was wondering! It does take time as most of these things do. It's amazing to see the difference when we finally get it right and their condition is managed, it's like they are a different dog.
We use to make sure Zack had his walks every day, exercise is so important too.
Thanks for updating this.
