I have recently been told that my refrigerator has a "saturated cabinet" making the refrigerator worthless. Dealer has put in two new cooling units and neither one cooled the refrigerator, so they contacted Norcold about the " saturated cabinet" Any one have any knowledge about this?
I have seen the term "saturated cabinet" used to mean that the insulation has become too damp to be effective. I would have thought the the fridge had foam insulation and this would not apply.

What do you mean by "neither one cooled the refrigerator"? If both boxes stay at room temperature then that does sound like a cooling unit/etc problem. A cooling unit will cool (make frost) not even installed because we did this with our Amish cooling unit to test it before we went to the trouble to install it.
I've seen this on older models a bunch- the foam just breaks down. It's pretty obvious if you pull it though- you can stick a finger right into the foam. I haven't seen it on anything built after y2k though.

Not sure if this is the same but our Norcold cabinet had condensation damage from a poorly fitted/sealed cooling unit? We were able to repair it when we replaced the cooling unit with an Amish build unit. Here is our YouTube video with pics: Our Norcold to Amish Built Cooling Unit Change-out
Hope this helps!
