Friends 1999 Bounder( Engine battery 2 months old 12 volt 24 series) Coach (2 months old two 6 volt deep cycle batteries). Coach was plugged in for three days. Coach was driven 40 miles and parked for 3 days not plugged in. No lights or power were left on. Engine battery had dropped to 12.17 volts. Coach had dropped to 12.45 volts. When plugged in Converter charges at around 13.17 volts. The batteries seem to be dropping voltage for no reason....Where should we start to look for whats draining the batteries?
2011 Work and Play 30WR. Added 2nd AC, four deep cycle batteries.

all batteries have self discharge, plus there are parasitic loads
13.17 is not enough voltage to fully charge the batteries
try a good battery charger for 24 hrs, then check the batteries for voltage drop
they might need a new converter
Options, always have options, and the journey goes much smoother

They are dropping for a reason. There are several parasitic loads on an RVs battery sets even with the main and aux switches OFF. To numerous to mention. If it's going to be sitting for more then two days, just disconnect the ground cables from each set. Easy to do and works every time.

Might want to disconnect the ground cables and see if they drain on their own before looking for hidden loads.

Re the 13.17V charging:
This could be normal, if measured at the battery, because the charger could be in Bulk stage.
Bulk stage charging is when all of the charging Amps are supplied while the battery volts rise to the Absorption stage cut-off voltage.
Do you have a multi-stage charger?

Nope. 13.17 is barely adequate float voltage. Bulk charge should be in the 14- 14.2 VDC range.

I conducted a discharge/recharge TEST recently that illustrates this process.
