I have a 1995 Skyline travel trailer w/a suburban water heater.Last time out it wouldnt light. It is a manually lit unit w/pilot light. It doesn't appear to be getting gas at the burner. It has worked in the past. As far as I know it's the original unit and works well (when it works). Any ideas?

Sometimes spiders make a nest inside the gas fittings, where they can crawl into the burner assembly. So if you see a white nest looking thing, get rid of that. (they look like a small cotton ball).

Will any gas come out to light the pilot?

I guess the stove is working, so you know the regulator is working and you have gas.

A pilot model water heater does not have a resettable high limit switch. First question, does the pilot light stay lit?

Looks like your thermo couple needs to be replaced. Cheap and easy.
