RedRocket204 that fire device you show would be banned

Yes, I would not use it if there was a ban on open fires. Only intend to use it if allowed...just not a big fan of open pit fires with ash and spark ability to spread.

What's weird is the little propane fire pit is not much different from a propane grill...but rules are rules.

I love me some land yachting

Scary. It sounds like the FD got there quick. What campground were you at? Any pictures?

FD was on scene much more quickly than I thought they could have been. We were at Lakeside RV Park just outside of the Provo Marina, on Center Street. Very nice little private park, lots of grass and shade, decent little pool, great playground, steps from fishing the river, short walk to the lake.

Sorry I didnt get pics. Honestly the best pics would have been exactly during the time that I was scrambling to get hitched up, just in case the fire kept on coming.

I'm sure taking pictures were the last thing on your mind.

I've driven past that campground many times and it looks real nice. If it wasn't only 10 minutes away I'd want to try it out sometime.

Because I am an Emergency Management Coordinator I have to ask. Did you do an After Action Review? Basically talk about what you did right and what you did wrong when trying to get the heck outta Dodge? I think it may surprise many what the kids think on this subject, and thier view. Consider it a drill and learn from it. You did a very nice narrative of the scene. Reading it made me feel like I was there.

I have not done an AAR, and it's a great suggestion. Will do.
