can I use one of these in my master bedroom in my 5th wheel?
I have one AC unit and it is located in the back bunkroom. one vent in front master. need it a bit more cool but don't want to add another AC unit at this time.
Can I use this?
Does anyone use anything like this to cool down a specific area in their camper?

That is a swamp cooler, it will make things VERY humid. If it is already humid there will be almost no cooling, just more humidity.

I have been reading on it. I realized that NOW (drat)
the reviews were not fab on it and suggestions to keep it near an open window...etc. etc.
not what I am searching for at all.
I hope there are other suggestions people do use???
edited to say I have been checking the 'real' ac units and they are big. even the small ones are big and have to be vented thru a window.
hmm...not sure if this is a good idea

There was a fellow up here in Mo. that had a PUP with some kind of portable A/C unit. He had it vented out the storage door. Though I didnt walk inside his PUP to take a look. I was standing by the door when he opened it, and the air coming from inside was every bit as cold as my PUP was with roof A/C.

What you were tlking about was a basic "swamp cooler" that needs a dry/low humidity enviornment in order to work.
This is what you need...

You want a Portable Air Conditioner They vent through a hose to the outside. I would add a round screw-closeable (boat hatch type) port in an inconspicuous place to vent the hose. Some types come with an adjusatable window fitting

I ran a portable AC for a while before adding a second roof AC. I vented it through a side vent. The portable was 9 K BTU.
Adding the second roof AC was the way to go for me. TH was pre wired for Second AC so it was not real difficult.

I used one all the time in my TT.Mine is a 13500 btu.It came with a bracket to vent it out a house window.So I fabricated one for my TT.
