One of the greatest has gone to be with his Lord. Hey Sheriff, tell Don Knotts I said "hey" when you see him.

Andy Griffith was one of my favourite actors. His show , The Andy Griffith Show was a classic.
In fact, I heard the sad news as I was watching a re-run of the Andy Griffith Show.
The on screen chemistry between Andy and co-star Don Knotts (Barney Fife) was something to behold. Aside from the fact that they were very good friends they appeared on screen to have an intuitive acting relationship that was on a different level.
I understand that besides being a wonderful actor...that Mr. Griffith was also a wonderful man.
He will be missed.

Andy has made me laugh most of my life. As a child, I heard him tell the story of a country boy watching his first football game. "What is was, was football". Had me in tears, laughing so hard. And I got to see him on stage in "No Time For Sargents". He'll be missed.
I forgot to add "Matlock". Totally different character, but every bit as well done.

I passed by his house a couple years ago and was surprised that he did not move up to a bigger house when he was famous
If you want to see the house do a Google street sterch
711 East Haymore Street, Mount Airy, NC
(336) 783-9300
If I am not mistaken the sign in said he lived there into the 60's or 70's,
The owner rents out the house and fans can live in the house Andy once lived in,

Dang it. I was going to hire him as my lawyer. All the good one are going and we are left with poor actors today.

Its been a hard year for some really great people. Andy Griffith, Doc Watson, Earl Scruggs, Etta James, Whitney Houston, Mike Wallace, Dick Clark, Donna Summer, Robin Gibb, One of the Dillards (the name escapes me).
All the good n's are gone and what are we left with? 50 cent?

God Speed Andy.
Truly one, of the great entertainers. The No Time for Sergents and the TV shows really were the fabric of America.
When Don Knots died it felt like a family member left us.
So it is with Andy Taylor.
Prayers for his Family and Friends.

He was also in some movies. I think Spy Hard was one of them or, was it something else like that?
