Having been on the road well over the year we will be in Albuquerque for at least two weeks at the end of September while I leave my partner to fly to Rhode Island to do a wedding. We are in a 36ft Class A with "toad." What is the BEST RV park in Albuquerque, he is 42, we are gay, and for a week he will be on his own so I also want a friendly place that will be enjoyable.

Most RV parks are live and let live places of peace and tranquility. I don't think you'd have a problem at any of the parks in or around Albuquerque. Many park residents don't bother to try to find out the specifics of a neighboring campers life style.

Albuquerque itself is called gay friendly by many. Here's a link:Gay Friendly City

If you want more specific RV parks you might try this link which list the gay friendly campgrounds in New Mexico: Gay Campground Directory

In my opinion, here is one of the best parks in Albuquerque: Link Cannot attest to their opinions on sexual orientations.

ABQ RV parks. Reviews are very accurate for the RV parks in this area.

We stayed in February at the American RV park and will be going back there for the Balloon Festival. Nice, clean park with a free continental breakfast every morning. It has a typical small store with some grocery items and souvenirs.

I also thought American was a nice park. We stayed last December for only one night on our way through but I would have easily stayed longer. A very nice more resort type park and very nice staff.

we always stay at the Isleta RV Park on I-25 abt 10-miles south of I-40. other than a train coming thru a couple of times a day it is v-e-r-y quiet. no highway noise at all. two fishing lakes with a 1.5-mile walking/jogging track around them. full hookups plus cable and wifi that works at our campsite. virtually all pull-thrus (there are just a few back-ins) that are long and wide. this is a GoodSam park and their weekly/monthly rates are very good. a very easy drive to downtown.

Be aware (if you aren't already) that the Albuquerque International (hot air) Balloon Fiesta starts on October 6 and things really fill up in Albuquerque and the prices go up accordingly.
