We just got a brand new 2013 Attitude fifth wheel and can't wait to take it out!! Can anyone provide some tips about the furniture when traveling without toys? If there are no toys inside, do most people keep the furniture tied to the walls or do you leave everything down? What's worse when you're driving - having the legs bump/rub on the flooring or stressing out the ties on the walls? Or do people alternate? We'll be taking this out on its maiden voyage this weekend!!

Welcome! We leave all the tables, chairs and couches in the "living" mode when we go without toys. That way we don't have anything to setup inside when we get where we are going. Haven't had a problem with anything moving or falling over yet. Enjoy your new rig.

For us, no toys means no reason to have any furniture in stored position. When we get to our destination, we only have to set-up our outside stuff since interior is ready to go. Enjoy your new Attitude 5er!!!

We leave the couches down. But if your table goes into holes in the floor via the 2" tubes DO NOT travel with them in, the receivers in the floor will crack/break over time. I found out the hard way with dinner in my lap!

Awesome! Thanks for the replies. The link for the 2012 mods is nice with tons of info!!! Makes me feel better, too, to see so many satisfied Attitude owners.

If My Rhino is not inside, the couches are down, I recently had to repair the damage of the screws that pulled out of the 2"X2" wall studs due to the bouncing around while traveling. NOT going to happen again.
The first time was just longer screws, the second time was larger diameter screws, this time involved an addition of a wooden rail attached to the studs at different spots and then the couches mounted to the rails with thru bolts and big washers. MUCH stouter than before and actually looks pretty good, will look better when I stain the Oak boards to match the rest of the cabinets.

Congrats on the new Attitude. I love my 34 footer. Taking her to Pismo next week. You will love it. Only problem I have had is a broken pin on the landing gear. Replaced it with a grade 8 bolt and so far so good.

If you want to protect your floor, I would recommend placing Waxman 2" Round Adhesive-Backed sliders (available at Lowes) on your chairs and the legs of the couch. We also place blankets, sleeping bags, etc., between the chairs and the walls to prevent rubbing when traveling. We also remove the microwave glass plate and store it under the bed. Also recommend not raising the rear bunk to the top (leave it so the top rest in the frame), or the molding will break. California highways beat the tar out of these rigs.
We have the same rig and absolutely love it. Good people at the factory to deal with and the service manager Chris is one of the best in the business. Enjoy your new rig.
