Good one fer yu.
Fantastic fan won't run in the morning but it will run during the day.
It won't run in the evening.
The lid opens but the fan won't kick on. fuse and switches are fine.
It hasn't rained.

Strong union????
Sorry couldn't resist, The one in my truck camper has 2 knobs, one is the switch one is a dial thermostat, it it's turned up the fan won't come on 'till it's hot out.
If that isn't the case try wiggling wires/switches, could just be an intermittent lose wire or contact and the timing is just a coincidence

Mine is doing kind of the same thing. Lid will go up but the fan will not start at first. Then later it starts going. I think the motor is going bad. I emailed the company a few days ago and look forward to their diagnosis and hopefully the legendary free parts to fix it.

Not sure about the OP's problem but tkcas01's problem might be the motor switch under the lid. Go up on top of the rig, take a small wrench (sorry, I don't remember the size) and tighten the nut on the switch under the lid. Don't over tighten. This switch grounds the motor circuit when the lid goes up and sometimes corrosion keeps you from getting a good circuit.
