I really don't believe anyone cares how much I spend,.....on anything. I figure that if they cared I would've been told by now. Of course, nobody would ever mention it to me 'cause I've got a few rehearsed replies already (they wouldn't like it).

Why bother to get into that discussion? Even if it is not cheaper the convenience of having everything in the same place no matter where you go is worth quite a bit.

Enjoy it to the fullest and don't worry about what anyone may say or think.
Quiet please! You make wake up some in 'dreamland'.
I like it when I pull up to a traffic light with my trailer and diesel truck and there is a Prius next to me I feel like we should both just go "POOF!" and cancel each other out.

It may not be cheaper in the begining; however, if you keep it long enough it gets better. Also there isn't a hotel everywhere we want to stay the night. Last but not least, I like sleeping in my bed. I really don't care what other people feel about my RVing.

Hahaha! Now that's funny.
Memories are priceless. Bacon and eggs taste better in cast iron than in a complimentary breakfast buffet. Campfire conversations are incomparable. Grilled anything on a stick beats restaurant food anyday. Sunsets from a lawnchair beat HBO. I may be broke, but it's worth every penny.
I never justify my choice of rving to anyone. It is what I enjoy. They can go do what they enjoy.
Rv'ing my way is not cheap. We have a nice rig, nice truck, nice accessories, take long nice trips and all this drains the wallet. But I love it, want to do it, choose it for my recreation. I don't give a darn what anyone else says about the matter.

IMHO you won't ever be able to change their minds so don't bother. They will never experience being able to explore this country outside the bounds of traditional tourist destinations; that's their loss.
