Although it's not a fifth wheel, Keystone made the Outback "Loft" for a year or two. It's a side load TH that has a loft room that pops up on the roof. Might be worth checking out.

On my EnduraMax we can have 4 on the roof with chairs and coolers no problem. We used a patio mat to protect the roof from the chairs. Now using the factory ladder to get to the roof....that's a different story.

Is this the one ? I checked these when they came out and really liked the pop up room and though this would be perfect at CA raceway. When I talked to the Raceway they said they probably wouldn't allow it do to the extended height. Dang it !! Pretty cool idea IMO. I heard there may have been a recall on them to.

Yep that's the one! I don't know about a recall, but I know they only made them for a year or two. Seems like an ideal way to watch the race from the infield.

It was a KZ 4005, and was called the quarter deck. Only made them for one year, and didn't make very many at all. They had to stop production because they didn't own the patent to the design. It had stairs going up through the garage into a sunken deck on the roof. They had a sliding roof panel that covered the deck area. Was a really neat idea.

I looked at several of them, wish I could have purchased one.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think some of the recent (within a few years) KZ Inferno toy haulers had a party deck built in....

Thank you for all the suggestions and feedback. We are still looking for our next 5th wheel. Haven't yet found the right one at the right price. We've raised a few eyebrows in our search when we ask to check out the roof and bring our own ladder.

I'd love to have one that already has a party deck but those that we've seen are out of our pocket book range. We were really hoping to not have to build a new deck or haul stuff to construct it on site.
