I have a 2001 Beaver Monterey. I want to touch up some blistered clear coat on the front end. Does anyone know if the paint is enamel or lacquer?

The paint codes should be on the inside of one of the kitchen cabinet doors. Ours was painted with a Diamont paint. If you call Beaver Coach Sales and Service in Bend OR they will be able to answer your questions.

Call Monaco ((800) 634-0855) with the last six of your vin and they can even give you the mixing formulas for the various color on your coach.

Monaco faxed me the formulation specs for all my colors. When I took them to the paint shop he also wanted a sample of the actual colors on the coach. The cover for the refer. had all the colors on it so I took that with me. He used the panel to adjust the mixture if necessary. The clear coat blistering is a common problem with Monaco as well as other coach builders.

My understanding is that Monaco has no information on any pre-2003 Beaver. Save yourself a phone call and contact Beaver Coach Sales and Service as I suggested previously. If necessary, they can put you in contact with the guys in Bend OR who sold the paint to Beaver. I spoke with them and they provided me with the detailed mixture information to create the colors used on the coaches.

Any good automotive paint supplier can mix Diamont all you have to do is take them a sample or take your coach there.
A pint is very expensive. I paid $50 dollars for mine.

No need for a code.
