My wife and I have a 5th wheel setup in a park in Yuma that we have had for a few years. We are thinking of selling it and maybe trying to find something up near the Las Vegas area. We would like a park model in a 55+ park. Has anyone had any experience with parks and annual costs for park models?
Or are there other spots that we are not aware of that anyone can suggest we look at that offer good prices and reasonable winter weather.

I dont know why you are tired of Yuma, but Viewpoint rv and golf resort in mesa has to be the Canook Capitol of the southwest. And can those people party.

We've been in vegas in the winter & experienced snow & ice, so it's no substitute for yuma. You might look around bullhead city/laughlin for better winter weather, but you're going to be hard-pressed to beat yuma, weather-wise.

We had some folks in the park we stay at in Yuma move up to Bullhead/Laughlin area last year. It didn't last long they came back to Yuma. WHY???? The wind in the Bullhead/Laughlin area can really blow.

true about the canyon winds in the Colorado river area......I really like Lake Havasu, but the winds are bad..
Are the winds not bad in Yuma? I have seen some big duststorms on TV from Phoenix this year.....I assume maybe all the desert of Arizona has winds (?).

I've been wintering in Yuma for the last 5 years and at times we do get some wind, but not as bad as I've seen in the Bullhead/Laughlin area. As far as dust storms I have never seen one in Yuma where we stay. Folks out towards the Foothills might see them, you have to remember Yuma is a huge produce and citris growing area.

I can vouch for the winds in the NW. We stayed a couple months at moabi regional park (between havasu and bullhead) and wow sometimes the wind was really bad. I really wondered whether the finish on the rig would survive.
By the way Moabi is a fantastic place for wintering as long as you get one of the peninsula sites. We payed 250/mo for full hookup, well the honey wagon came every 3 days, but now they have sewer too.
We counted 4 satellites overhead on the one night and watched the shuttle and the Space Station pass over while they were attached. The sunsets are killer and the spaghetti on monday nights across the river is awesome.
And the size of the fish in that river. Holy cow they are huge. They were so big our lab would try and dive for them.
It doesnt blow every day.

A cool sunrise...
