Planning to clean the roof on top of my recently purchased 07 Kz Jag II 23 foot TT and want to make sure I can safely stand on the roof; don't want to learn the hard way by just going up there and then find myself going thru the roof. Thanks.

I can't speak about the roof specifically but you can also use a brush with an extendable handle so that you can clean the roof without actually getting up on top of it. I do this and it works just fine.

Try crawling to distribute the weight. If you hear a weird noise stop.

I bought a 16 foot extension pole and soft bristle brush for on it at Lowe's. It was cheaper than the longer ladder I woulda needed to climb up there, and works great. I don't even have to move the short ladder except once to hit the opposite side of things. If you are willing to move the ladder, a 6 foot pole will be enough.

I can't see the back but is there a ladder? I'm not sure if it is standard but with our rockwood in some of the manuals it referenced that if there is a ladder it is safe to get onto the roof. I've been walking on mine since we got it last year without issue, it has a ladder.

Use a walking board. I have a 2x6 foot piece of plywood which i carpeted for comfort, distributes the weight and is knee friendly.

This is what I was thinking of doing it instead of getting on top of the roof. Thanks.

Thanks, this will be my course of action.

No ladder...and previous owner was not able to find the owner's manual. BTW, anyone knows how I can go about trying to locate an owner's manual? Thanks.

Yes you can walk on the roof. Use common sense and wear a soft rubber sole shoe, wash with a good rubber roof cleaner or even Spic and Span, use a soft brush made for RV roof, clean and rinse. Check your seams and caulking around the vents, airconditioner, etc. while you are up there. Blow off the roof and any slideouts first and do not walk on the slideouts. Otherwise, the main roof is made to be walked on so it can be cleaned periodically.
