I have a problem. No matter if I am plugged into power at a park or sitting idle, or running generator I have no overhead lights, AC, tv, dish...nothing!!! I do however have plug power for lamps, chargers. I also have wall lights. No water pump power either. We have changed all batteries. Changed a cylinoyd. still nothing. HELP please! Slides will slide in/out. motor will crank! refrigerator running on gas..no problem. What could it be????
If your rig has a converter, that's likely the culprit. If you have a combo inverter/charger INSTEAD of a converter, the charger section may not be working (some rigs have BOTH an inverter/charger and a converter). Converter "converts" 120V AC to 12V DC. Check the converter output for 13.6V or higher when you're plugged into shore power.
Find your inverter/charger. AC passes through mine via two circuit breakers right on the device. You may have one leg of the AC dead on the inverter which may in turn have the battery charger section off which would explain the no overhead lights since they likely run on 12 volts. Your water pump is definitely 12 volts. Not knowing which solenoid you replaced I suspect you may have more than one problem.
What happens if you start the coach? If your overhead lights get brighter or come on after the engine is running for 3 minutes or so that would tell me your battery circuit is mostly ok. Take a picture or at least describe what the solenoid looks like and where it is located.
