I don't know if it is me but over the years, our group of 10-14 strong has dwindled down to pretty much us a a couple of others (who rarely go out). It seems like everyone has sold their stuff (or seriously contemplating it) and moved on. I almost need therapy.

We have seen this happen over and over as we get older. A lot of the younger RVers are into a totally different style of camping and a some of the old campers don't want kids around which is absolutely wrong cause these kids are our future RVers.

our group changes every year, one or two families leave the group and a couple new families join the group.

The dynamics of any group changes with age. We used to have a group of 4 or 5 that camped almost every weekend. It dwindled to only us now. One other couple changed for the worst. He is an alcoholic last time we saw them. Just not fun to be around any more. We are now retired and making our own memories with the grand kids when they can go, and camp hosting to fill the void.

Glad I'm not the only one, though I know I am one that has changed how much we ride. Few years ago we were out 60 plus nights a year now we're down to a few weeks. Kids are in high school and they have their lives/friends and none of them ride. If the toys weren't paid for I'd consider selling but I keep hoping things will change. Been thinking of selling our ATVs and getting 1 RZR instead. Reality is that cost of gas has become something I can't ignore and combine with the kids in Marching Band/Drum Corps our lives have just changed. ATVs, Motorhome & Boat are all getting less use.

We used to camp with a few other families, but that's changed too. Life changes, can't wait till I retire and get to do what I want, when I want.

The other problem we've seen in MI is they have moved there Samborees to May and September instead of June and September. This has left out all the campers with children and grand kids from coming since these Samborees are 4 days long and parents do not want to take their kids out of school.

We're in it for the long haul. Alone or with a group, we always make the most of it. It was nice to park the hauler in a campground this summer because we got to introduce the experience to people now considering purchasing a TT or TH plus we used it almost every weekend.

Now that I have the TV that will tow anything I throw at it, I look forward to a fall and winter full of many trips around central and southern AZ.

What's work? Oh, playing in the sand in the Southwest!

We have a house in a retirement community of about 250 homes, been here for 6 years and know 2 people.
Started camping and inviting people to get together now in 1 year we have 25 rigs that activly get together as a group 3 times a year, and a few social dinners between M&Gs.
It seems easier while walking to greet people and sometimes sit down and chat, lots of very interesting people out there.
If you loose a friend, go for a walk and find another.

I don’t need anger management-I just need people to stop pissing me off.

We have not seen any in our group sell their stuff. But the times they are willing to go have deffinently dwindled. If it is not for 3 or more nights, they would rather not spend the money.

We still try and get out somewhere atleast once a month. Desert in the winter. Beach, mountains and lakes in the summer. We prefer to have company, but willing to go by ourselves if we have to.

What's a "camping group"? We've made lots of friends over the years but nobody we go anywhere with. See them once in a while when we go back to the same park as before.
