Hey for the wish list, Bigfoot, side door, with a
snap-n-nap rear bunk (like an old amerigo) and only as tall a lance 1161 (no need for sky high stairs).... and light enough for a F250 CC PSD with 3.73 rear end... How about that ?????

I think if your dreaming campers, you should be asking... if weight was not an issue... Since the $$ is not near as limiting and the weight issue with most slide-ins
If I had the $$ I'd have me a nice class A for long trips, but I'd still have me a nice pickup truck with a slide in. Nothin like it in my book.
I'm in the dreaming stage now, a front bath looks mighty good to me right now. Then when in the middle of nowhere, you can have a great view out the back on both sides as well as the back during that first cup of coffee in the mornig. now that's livin... So far... Northern lite, Bigfoot, Adventurer. But that is considering weight. I like s&s also, but they have no unit with a front bath that I know of.

Yeah, a class C. Chinook Baja for me. Until I win the Lotto I'll have to accept my F250 and put a slide on on the back.

I've got lots of time behind the wheel of and 18.5' 1972 Chinook on a Chev. That thing drove as nice as my F250 4x4. With the (relatively)short overhang it would go places most other RVs wouldn't dare to tread. If we wanted to get adventurous we'd have a 4x4 run with it to pull it out if stuck (only once).
Like I said, in the mean time.....slide in on on a 4x4.

I looked around and my $15,200.00 went towards a 2002 Starcraft 1150. It fit the bill for me and my family. Check it out at www.starcraftrv.com

That's a whole lot of camper for $15k. However, the 'tent' rear-end is not suitable for bear country, the same reason that I didn't go the tent-trailer route.

Snowbird/Snow River or Bigfoot. The former is better built in my opinion from what I've seen, but does not have the large dealer network of Bigfoot. Generally canadian campers on the whole seem to be better buit than their American counterparts with a few notable exceptions. Mind you there are some dogs out there as well.

I'm not sure which is the best but it's definately not a Lance. I have a 98 Lance 9500 with the back half ruined due to rain entering a defective side door where the generator would go. I even had the State inspector come out and look at it and he agreed it was a defect. Lance will do nothing about it since the warranty has expired. I stored it in a sheltered area the first couple of years so the problem didn't show up right away.
I ordeded it brand new after doing some research on the "best" camper to buy, but I am completely dissatisfied with this camper, dealer and Lance Company for their lack of interest or assistance in with my ruined camper.
