Any ideas for those hard-to-fit bunk beds? I've tried tucking in all the extra, but it always finds its way out and my kids end up in a twisted cocoon. Has anybody tried to make sheets?

kdmoss,
You can buy regular twin sheets that are fitted or flat and use the suspender elastic things to hold it all together. It works well.

Yes, as the previous post suggested, use the elastic straps to hold the sheets in place. They have worked well for our four bunks beds.

We use twin size jersey sheets. It is the material like T-shirts are made of. They are stretchy, so the stay on well and are very soft. Best thing is they are inexpensive. You can find them a Wal-Mart, Target and stores like that.

Hi, I'm Cookie Mom, RPFan's wife. I bought extra long twin sheets and even though they're too wide, they fit the bunk matresses better than regular twin sheets. Honestly I just tuck in the extra under the mattress as far as it will go. We don't seem to have a problem with the sheets falling off.

I found the jersey twin sheets at the dollar store fit the best. I paid $8.00 for each set. I bought two sets. I used the fitted ones for the bottom bunks and the flat sheets for the top bunks. That gave me only two pillow cases but I just used other pillow cases from my old sheets sets. I also had two king size quilts from our popup days that matched the trailer. I cut the quilts in half and made one for each of the bunks. I wanted to make it simple for the girls to make their beds, so all they have to do is straighten the sheets, fold the quilts and put on the end of the bunks and keep the pillows in place. Same when they bring friends.

Also use the Jersey sheets when we have too. I bought my children (3 & 7) sleeping bags and they usually sleep in these. They thinks it's neat and are they are real camping. Best of all I don't have to fight making those bunk beds, just straighten the bags in the morning.

We also use sleeping bags. Wouldn't ever go to sheets now. That top bunk is a nightmare to get at to make the bed!
