I enlisted in the Air Force on the 1st of August 1979 and am still going strong after almost 24 years. I have already set my retirement date which will be 11 June 2005 when you figure in terminal leave.
I have been an Aerospace Ground Equipment Technition the entire time and supported just about every aircraft in the inventory. Currently with B-52's at Minot AFB, North Dakota and wrapping up a very busy year!

I was at 351st sps 1971-1975, NKP Oct72-Oct73 Sa-wa-dee.
Worked Topside then went to the field. Got back from NKP and went to the 508th SMW, Bravo Control, Senior Crew Supervisor.
Dennis was in the USN for 12 years as a Sonar Supervisor on the nuclear attack submarine Hawkbill (SSN-666). He was on it when it was originally commissioned and we went to Washington DC about 5 years ago when the navy decommissioned it. He had two tours of duty in Nam and was sent to other parts of the world under water. He is always looking for any of his crew - as submarine service men are truly a different breed. If you are out there, please drop him a note.

O.K., I'm going to set the record for LEAST time active duty. Drafted May, 1969, basic at Ft. Polk, LA. AIT and advanced training at Ft. Ben Harrison, Indianapolis, IN. Hit the ground running Jan. 3, 1970 with the 199th Lt. Inf Bde., VietNam, tansferred to 222nd Avn. Btn. and spent last 60 days at FB Bearcat. Early release from active duty and returned to States Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, 1970. Served a total of 1 year, 6 mo. and 11 days active duty. Thats all the fun I could stand. 33 years ago and I can still wake up each day and remember the same day as it happened so long ago.
