I see kids as lunar orbiters, you get to spend a lot of time with them investing in a proper launch and you get to talk to them all the way to the moon and they listen. Then, they go around to the back side where radio communication goes dark, where you are saying "Appollo, do you read? Come in?" and...nothing...while they find their own way into life. When they emerge, you want to hear, "yeah Houston, we've had you with us all along and now it's good to hear your voice...we're looking forward to seeing you again, we're on our way home!"
Okay, so we don't want them actually coming home to stay once they're adults, but you get the point. What's the cost of gas for an RV? It's a priceless investment in the future potential of hearing "we're looking forward to seeing you again" when they are 32 and have their own busy families!
