Retired Engineer. 34 years with the US Coast Guard. 25 of those years spent in Recreational Boating Safety, primarily in Product Assurance. Thats the office that enforces safety regs for boat manufacturers, such as electrical systems, fuel systems, ventilation, flotation, capacity ratings and a few others. I am still active on various committees that set the safety standards for rec boats. Many of those standards are very similar to voluntary industry standards for RVs

Now doing some consulting, but mainly I have taken up photography professionally. I have entered a few contests and done very well. Haven't really made any money to speak of but I'm having fun traveling and photographing the country.

I am an avid running enthusiast and compete in occasional 5K and 10K races.

I enjoy boating but haven't done any since retiring. Hopefully I'll do that too.
