RE: Bolt snapped off but from where??
Need to really look at the steering box. Here is a picture of the bolts holding the box on.

Edit: Now that I compare this picture with yours, they do look different. This picture is off of a F250.

It will just be the DW and I, so space isn't really needed. Our longest trips will be when we are hunting and storage isn't even an issue because we essentially wear the same thing every day. I don't see the perpendicular couch being a problem with the two of us either.
I think I am going to go a different route though. Going to wait until the end of the summer and hope to catch a good deal on a new unit. Take the money we have now and pay off the TV and save that money. If we have to finance the new TT when time comes, it would be fine with me.

Thanks for the replies and I'll try and answer the questions asked.
-Do you need a four season trailer?
It would be nice. Winter hunting season does get cold.
-Do you dry camp and need big tanks?
During the week of or hunting trips we have ran out of fresh water, but was easily remedied by taking extra jugs. Otherwise our other tanks weren't an issue. We have 3-30 gal tanks with a 50 fresh.
-What do you plan on towing it with?
2011 Ram 2500 CTD
-What do you mean by solid doors? Bath and bedroom or cabinets.
Bedroom door.
-Just asking, why do you not want a slide? Is it to keep the cost down?
Our current unit has one and yes it is nice to have. Thought I might get a little more bang for the buck if I purchased a trailer without one and the money that would have been put into the slide would be used elsewhere. (construction, insulation)
Even though I stated new, it won't mean that I will not consider used. Thanks again.

$18k - What would you buy?
Just thinking here. Might have a budget of $18k to buy a new TT. Wondering what your picks would be? Not saying that the MSRP has to be under the $18k, but something close that could be easily negotiated down to that price with a handful of cash.
Then throw in wants. What would you choose if you wanted the following.
No slide.
Queen bed with solid door(s).
No bunks.

Don't need to crawl under it to see if it is the steering box bolt. Look into the left front fender well and along the frame towards the front should be three bolts going through the frame to the box.

That bolt looks like it might be one of the bolts that holds the steering gear box to the frame.

RE: Eaton 17,000# axle shaft
Make sure that the axle isn't bound by having it in park while on a slight incline. Placing the transmission in neutral and using the park brake would be the best way. Chocking wheels will help too.

RE: PRNDL Indicator repair
There is a little black plastic wheel that adjusts the indicator. Pop the lower instrument cover under the collumn. Put the E-brake on and move the shifter while watching for movement. Just below where the shifter is attached to the small cable is the black wheel.

Well, there really isn't anything that the front bumper protects. It is really flimsy too, so if you did get into anything it would probably bend it anyways. Get you a 14mm socket and #2 Phillips and pull it off. It will fit then.

Even though this isn't one of your numbered questions, don't take a salesman's words on anything they tell you. They want to make money and they will tell you anything to make a sale.
1. Safe/Wise. Yes
2. They are "relatively" equal except for the fact that Ram can't put a clutch behind the Cummins that will hold the power the automatics can.
I'll let someone else bore you with the GCWR and fuel mileage, DEF, kool-aid and other stuff that always pops up in these threads.

The throttle position sensor is known as the APP or accelerator position sensor. It is located on the pedal assembly.
CEL = check engine light.

RE: Air Filter question
Pull the filter, and rub your finger along the inside of the tubing between it and the turbo. Are you wiping dust? Now look further down the tube at the turbo. See any parts of the compressor wheel missing? Leading edges of the blades a different color then the rest?

All I use is a strap between the bed rails and snug it up to the rear tires. Careful with the ramps :E You can get into trouble in a hurry.

Is that a regular 610 or is it the XC model? Can you close the tail gate?
I recently purchased a 610 XC and couldn't close the gate. The cheap front bumper was hitting the front of the bed. It is now missing in action.
