RE: Tundra pulling my Jayco 26bh

Something doesn't seem right I towed same setup and even without equalizer and sway was like nothing back there Maybe try a new hitch setup. I'm not an expert on towing but just had same setup I know tow a hideout 29bhs with no real issues

RE: Tundra pulling my Jayco 26bh

I got a 5.7 crew cab. My Jayco is loaded to the gills. The truck bed is lightly loaded with my bikes. It pulled my camper like it wasn't back there. I did have some sway on the interstate with a strong crosswind and 18 wheelers passing. I had my sway lightly cranked. Gonna put it tighter for the rest of the drive tomorrow. The ride wasn't as smooth hooked up as my old 00 silverado 2500 put it was WAY more powerful and comfortable.
So what are my options for stiffening up the rear suspension without it ruining my unloaded driving?
Id do airbags. I had same setup but ran no equalizer or sway and had no issues whatsoever. Are you loading bikes being bicycles or motorized. I'm now towing a hideout 29bhs over 7k dry and with equalizer bars no issues

RE: F150 vs GM 1500 vs Tundra vs Titan

My tundra I'm pretty sure has 1600 for payload and I have been super pleased towing a jayco 26bh and now hideout 29bhs. I previously had a Titan and it sucked for towing and started to fall apart at around 34k on the od

I don't have any anti sway information but you need a bigger tow vehicle for sure .

RE: Upgrade Tundra to F150 HD?

Honestly your trading apples to apples of your towing fine your towing fine. Besides itd be financially irresponsible. Theres noway a ford would have resale your tundra does and youl take a hige initial hit on trade I'm towing a 7k trailer dry with also 1k on the tongue granted I've only brought the trailer home but I feel totally safe with the tundra I am although watching how we load up the camper keeping it much more simple
