RE: If Letterman had the "10 things list" for RVing

I avoid Letterman at all cost. That man is about as smart as a box of rocks.
Ken
Ditto I wouldn't watch his show at any cost.

RE: Winegard Antenna

Good morning all. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to test the Winegard antenna to see if it is working? I am parked next to a guy that is getting 16 local tv stations and I am getting 0. Any help will be appericated thanks.
Is the antenna amplifier switched on? Is the antenna cable connected to the system? Start with the easy, simple, things first is a basic rule in trouble shooting.
I continue to read on the forum about antenna amplifier, will someone please tell me where this amp is located? Thanks

RE: Class A spare tires

My coach came with a spare, however; I wouldn't attempt to change it, that is why I carry road service insurance on my policy.

RE: Message Center

You know I just can't believe that there isn't one member that has experienced this problem with the Workhorse chassis.

RE: Magellan Class A

Thanks for the response, I would have figured with this many members I would have had a little more than two replies on this topic. Thanks again for the two that i did receive. I don't think that two negative replies would warrent my deciding not to look into this coach a little further.

Message Center

Hey folks, 1fanman here with a question. I picked my coach up today from CW after having some roof and generator maintenance preformed, when I started my coach I had a message in the message center that said "J1939 no service or something to that effect and my service engine light was illuminated and the transmission wouldn't shift into overdrive; I had to drive it around 25 miles to the nearest workhorse service center. Has anyone ever experienced this before and if so what was the cause of the problem? Thanks again and all inputs appreciated.

RE: Gas level?

i would sugest you use seafom instead of stabil. it will mix with ethanol better than stabil and has no gelling factors.
I would like to know where to buy this seafoam, I asked CW and they didn't have a clue as to what I was talking about.

RE: GPS - What is the a good brand/model to buy

Hello Wes,
I am looking also. The only one that looks good is the Garmin Nuvi 465T. Here is the link:Click Here
Here is there into: Ease your way down the highway with the nüvi 465T – our first nüvi designed specifically for the over-the-road trucking industry. Featuring a preloaded NTTS Breakdown Directory, specialized routing options throughout the lower 48 states and truck friendly points of interest, this full-featured navigator was made for life on the road. The nüvi 465T also lets you create custom vehicle profiles tailored to what you’re driving and what you’re hauling. It’s convenience created with over-the-road drivers in mind.
It is the one I think I will buy.
mike
Have you had a look at the Garmin NUVI 765T, Sams Club has it for under $300.00 and it has lane assist. JMHO but sounds like a pretty good deal.

You can know where they are, but you won't know if it's full till you get there...
That made about as much sense as putting diesel in a gasser....

RE: Digital TV reception using "batwing" antenna ??

I have found digital off-air great, however, somewhat less transmit distance. I use mine 17 miles east of Fort myers, just below you somewhat. Try turning your antenna 20 degrees at a time. Allow a couple of minutes at each angle to allow the signal to download completely. I only use my batwing antenna. Make sure your amplifier is in the "on" position. WINK is a great HD channel.
Where is this amplifier located?

Rest Areas

1fanman here with a question,
Does anyone know how to find rest area's along the interstates on their GPS's, I have a Garmin NUVI 670 and for the life of me I can't find any rest area's.

RE: Synthetic oil in a gaser???

I just love it when someone asks for advice and gets told how stupid they are.
Ditto, just goes to prove there are still egotistical, self centered unsociable morons within our ranks. A simple one line answer would have been sufficient and appreciated by the OP.
By the way OP, running Mobil 1 in the V-10 and I change oil and filter every three thousand miles just because it makes me feel good!
Ditto and Ditto, I thought the purpose of this forum was to help and answer questions from fellow rv'ers and not be a smart A$$ about it.
