RE: Water Regulator and high water pressure question?

I use a watts whole house regulator that I bought at Lowes that is made for 3/4" pipe. It has the highest flow rate of any I have seen. Lowes also has the 3/4" pipe to hose fitting adaptors also.

RE: P30 Brakes

The only brake problem I ever had with a P30 chassis was the pivot on the brake rod would seize and not return. The first one I had didn't have a grease fitting and I had to install one and the next one I had did have a fitting but it was hard to get too and I don't think it was ever serviced.

RE: Silicone

NEVER NEVER USE SILICONE!!! Silicone is probably the single worst product you could use on an RV. It will not stick to RV parts worth a hoot. And as you are now finding out it is a pain in the rear to get off so you can use the proper products. Dicor lap seal on the roof and Dicor sealant on the rest of the RV. Although I use Dicor lap seal on everything. It can be a bit harder to work with on vertical surfaces I have had good luck with it.Let me try to understand this. It won't stick to any surface but you cant get it off???

RE: Type of Chassis

Independent front suspension= P chassis. Solid front axle= W chassis On P's with narrow track and wide body, front tires are well in from the side of the coach. On P's with wide track and wide body, front tires are near the side of the coach as are the W's. If I recall correctly, wide tracks came out in 2001 and were powered by the 8.1, while narrow tracks were powered by the 454 or 6.5 diesel.I had a 2000 model wide track with a 454 engine and 4L80E trans.

RE: I Should have paid Attention

My 05 is on an 04 chassis and it has afoot operated parking brake. I would look to see if the release handle was pulled out. Some times it can stick and some times the return spring may break.

RE: Florida: Need some suggestions

If you want peace and quiet don't go neer the beach stay in the central lakes area.I prefer pannelas county(clearwater/st petersburg )area. Lots of resterants and activitys for what ever you like plus the beaches yes there is trafic but I can deal with that. There is nothing like a sunset from Caddy's on the beach.

RE: Idling toad

I would do come checking, particularly find the lubrication diagram for the transmission. SOME automatic transmissions do not circulate the fluid through the cooler when in NEUTRAL. The cooler is only pressurized when the tranny is in gear. No cooling may mean the tranny will overheat, burning the oil, and ultimately ruining the tranny. That's why my 4-down toad is a Jeep Wrangler 4X4. No worries! That's why I got a dolly for the PT cruiser. Again, no worries, and no modifications needed!I can't speek of the newer cars because I have been retired for almost 8 years but prior to that all automatic transmissions presurize the lube system when in nuetral and yes that includes the cooling system. There were some that didn't presurize in park but all did in nuetral.

RE: 96 Georgie Boy Cruise Master engine problem

Another thing to look into is the posibility of the exhaust or cat. converter being resticted. This will cause the same problems.

RE: Leaky Sealand Toilet

The first thing to do is call sealand and tell them your problem they will most likely send you all the parts you need for free.

RE: Adjustable Water Pressure Regulator

The flow rate is the most inportant number. With a Watts or similar regulator you can adjust the presure to what ever you want and with more presure you can force more water threw a smaller hole but with a better flow factor you can get the same or better water flow with a lower presure. I have a whole house water presure regulator that I bought at Lowes that is made for a 3/4" pipe and I have it set at 55#. My MH had a built in regulator that I had to remove because it was too restrictive.

RE: Best Roof Sealent?

The most important thing it to clean all the old sealant off and clean the area to be sealed so the new sealant will stick to it. Dicor self leveling is normaly what the factory recomends.

RE: WOW, scary

First of all there are two jacks on the front. This is what I do to run my refrigerator before leaving on a trip. I only leave it this way for two days.
