RE: One reason why I use Schaeffer Oil in my Tow Rig

i use whatever ford pours in....its not worth my time to do my own oil changes anymore for a $15 saving. Besides i pull into the dealer, hand them the key, head to the waiting room and then log into work and get something done that produces money.

northern VT or over the Canadian border

We are looking at going as far north in VT or just over the canadian border this summer, would like to do a day tri into montreal.
I am looking at Alburg Rv park, has anybody been here before?
we would really like to stay just over the Canadian border but still on lake champlain if that is possible. The only requirements we have aside from a clean campground would be full hookups and a swimming pool.
has anybody camped at lacle Des Champs RV resort which seems close to montreal?
Any suggestions would be much appreicated, thanks.

RE: Ford 6.2 VS V10

I didnt know they had the 6 speed in 2010, i thought 2008- 2010 was the 5 speed and the 6 was introduced in 2011?

Suzuki Kizashi, all wheel drive and compriable in performance to a base audi a4 according to road and track. Too bad nobody ever heard of it because suzuki sat on their laurels. Honestly the car is fun to drive, handling and performance is very surprising for what it is.

RE: Consumer Reports thinks EcoBoost doesn't deliver

Didnt CU say that the Honda Ridgeline was the best truck last year?
Yes they did...and i will tell you it was a hard decision between that and my super duty, i still think that ridge line would have done a stellar job towing and i wouldnt hesistate to throw that 800lb ATV in teh plastic bed of the unibody.

RE: Consumer Reports thinks EcoBoost doesn't deliver

In 2007 CR raved about th new toyota tundra..i ran out and bought one...soon i found out i had a 2 headed albatrose in my driveway. a year later they retracted their review stating they didnt have sufficient time to do a long term review and it wasnt what they initially stated.
I would never go by what they say ever again

RE: Looking into either a 6.4 or 6.7 DRW Super Duty from gasser

i guess you could read that from my post, what i was getting at is that the new gasser would be a huge improvement over his current. Even though i own a diesel and love it i still have a hard time justifying the extra exspnse over a gasser.
My mileage isnt that much better and when you figure in that diesel fuel is more exspsnsive along with other things such as oil and filter changes.
i am not a FORD person...just a person driving a FORD....who knows what brand i will be in next year....maybe even a GM product.

RE: Looking into either a 6.4 or 6.7 DRW Super Duty from gasser

I always love these posts that have all the ford experts that dont drive fords...lol
OP...i had a08 6.4, almost 100k miles with zero issues, traded so i could get a crew cab. The 6.4 in stock form was poor on fuel, after the tuner and things fell off i would get high 17's on the highway.
Currently my 6.7 gets about the same 17 mpg highway, stock form, it uses def instead of injecting diesel into the DPF. I have just over 42k miles zero issues and love the truck, but it is a financial burden if you are like me and stick to the service schedule. 250/350 srw are not much differnt, same tires and axles, just the rear spring packs on the 350 have overloads.
As somoene mentioned if you dont need big power check out the 6.2 gasser.

RE: New mini TV?

I agree with NC Hauler....just buy a little car, i really dont think little trucks get that great of fuel mileage. for the same $$ you can get a car that will easily get 30mpg, i dont know many little trucks that will do the same.

RE: Chinese Goodyears

i had GY marathons, after 2 blowouts in one summer i moved over to maxxis...im not saying they are better, but i will never buy another GY tire. GY told me there was nothing they would do since even though the others had proper pressure and plenty of tread they didnt feel it was a manu defect. amazing how that tire seperated!
BTW...i ALWAYS check my tire pressure and lug nuts before leaving the driveway, had a buddy loose a wheel on 95 in NY due to a loose lug nut.
