RE: kinda wimpy ain it?
We tow a 2011 Jayco 26BH and originally towed with a 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab 4x4 with 5.3 and 3.73, traded to a 2011 Silverado 2500HD Crew Cab 4x4 6.0 with 3.73. What a difference, the GMC did the job but now I'm not exhausted after towing 6-8 hrs with the 2500HD. Definitely a much more capable vehicle. Eagerly awaiting the 2014 Silverado and Sierra, not sure which I'll go with but considering going to a 3500HD for the next one.
RE: New RAM 1500 Drive and report & videos
First thing, I'm a diehard bowtie fan and so is my brother in law. That being said, my brother in law and I drove a 2012 1500 Crew Cab Big Horn 4x4 5.7 hemi and a 3500 Laramie Crew Cab long bed 4x4 diesel. To say the least we were both impressed. Both trucks had tons of power and the ride was excellent. The interior sound level was quieter than my 2500HD, hardly any road/wind noise and it was very windy that day and both trucks were taken up to 95 MPH during the test drive (salesman didn't seem to mind). I would not hesitate from buying a new Dodge. The salesman told us a new chassis/body will be coming for 2014 and DEF will be implemented on the 2013. Dodge has come a long way and I will seriously consider them for my next purchase.
