OK...obvious question, Why did it burst? It appears you have 2012 unit, so I assume the batteries are 1 year old. What happened and why?

Local favorite CG has two sites I can fit in. I drive up to see if either is open, put a dollar store table cloth out and drop two chairs I got at a yard sale. One at the fire ring, the other in the site entrance with a sign that says occupied. I pay for the site. I run home, get the 5'ver and return. Never had a problem.

That'll work.... VA will be low teens to 30's

pilots use a checklist before they fly.
I recommend that an rv'r use one too.
1. pin on hitch installed.
2. breakaway cable installed.
3. trailer lights connected and checked
4. .........

Forbes....? Come'on! Maybe if I was looking to invest in a car company.
I've owned about 20+ vehicles over the years and the three best were a Jeep Wrangler
(current, 10 years old and running strong) Jeep Cherokee, had 5 years for work and sold with 200k miles, running strong) and a Ford Ranger, 200k, 7 years, running strong) my "nice" cars died out at 100k and started being money pit's!

Pensacola gets "nippy" in January and February. Certainly warmer than central Virginia, but not beach weather. I was stationed there for two years. Weatherbase
At least the beach won't be crowded. :)
How far south do I need to go this time of year for "warm" Not hot, just warm weather? 2nd thought can't go much farther south than gulf, so how far west do I need to move?

Just left that area after 10 weeks - much longer than expected because we loved it! Check the reviews for the parks in the area for all the options. We had no problems with availability and try to only stay at the very best parks, but reservations early are a good idea. St. Rosa Sound in Navarre to the west of Pensacola. Both Anchors Away and Gulf State Park in the Foley area. Majestic Oaks in Biloxi. A+ RV to the west of New Orleans. We stayed at all and they were great. Parks in New Orleans get mixed reviews, so we did the occasional day trip from Biloxi. The high point of it all was Honey Island Swamp Tour north of New Orleans.

I prefer to minimize the amount I extend the legs. I believe that makes for a more stable set-up.
I agree, the less you extend the legs, the more stable. I carry about 30 pieces of 4x6 7" long and build piers with them, like Heavy equipt cribbing. 2 down, 2 across, 2 down etc. 30 pieces will usually cover me where ever I go.

Need suggestions for parks FL to NewOrleans I-10
Looking to surprise my wife with our first "out of our comfort zone" trip. Thinking of traveling the Gulf Coast west from Pensacola to New Orleans area. Trying to stay along the beaches. I would like to use "resort" style campgrounds. Looking at traveling from the last week of January thru the middle of February. Need recommendations!
If I can keep her happy on this trip, I can start planning the big one out west. Help!

I tried some of my rv stuff on craigs list and never even got the first nibble....I do not think they have the listing set up just for rv items...
look under the "for Sale" catagory, about 3/4 way down left row.
sold many things there, also cross list under boats if it can be used there as well. Good Luck

HELP! I-10 from Pensacola w to NewOrleans
