RE: council bluffs
We stayed there in July.
Parking lot with hook ups. Bass Pro Shop next door. Clean and safe. I would stay there again. If you want more of a "camp ground" check out Haworth Park
RE: Nitto vs Bridgestone
Love, Love, Love, my Revos. I got 72k out of the first set and am planning on getting about the same out of this set. I use my 3500 D/A to pull our 15 K fiver. Now I use it only for pulling so the mileage may drop a little. Best tires I have ever purchased.
BTW I too have a 07 classic. I went with the 265's
RE: hydraulic jacks
Check to make sure that the fittings are not the source of the leak.
If not they need new seal kits. Find a local Hydraulic Shop in your area to get them rebuilt
RE: US-34 Illinois/Iowa
All good road in Iowa. Part of it is 4 lane. Be mindful the Deer!!. There is a section from I 35 west to Creston that seems to have quite a few accidents. No real reason for them. It is a road I drive often.
Nice City CG in Ottumwa right on 34. Nice place to stay. I think it was $14.00
Osceola has a great CG at Terrible's Casino.
Enjoy.
RE: Tire size
The Michelin rib is recommended as an all position tire for commercial users and has not only steel belts under the tread but has steel cords in the sidewall. That is probably why they're so spendy.
Got them and love them for our fiver
RE: construction in Iowa
What about the bridge at the IA-IL border? Heard that was closed not too long ago.
Yes but the detour isn't really a detour. Just stay on 280 until it dumps you back out on 80. It's better road anyway. Avoid 74 thru Davenport!
