Trailer Design Question

Just out of curiosity....
Why aren't TT's designed with a set of wheels at the back and a set on a pivoting axle at the front?
Seems like the trailer could handle more weight, plus it would remove the tongue weight from the TV
Would I be correct in guessing that such a design tends to sway more?

Good tires for rough roads?

We spend some time off road, but mostly we're concerned about traveling the poorly maintained roads going to our usual destinations.
My max loaded trailer weight is 8600 lbs. We're usually running about 8000 lbs.
I'd prefer a tire that is NOT made in China.
Any suggestions?

Any Trailer Tires NOT Made in China?

I need to replace all four TT tires. Never had good luck with Chinese made.
Any non-Chinese recommendations?

RE: rubber garage floor

I don't know about appearances, but I'd be worried about water and mud getting in the cracks and damaging the subfloor.
I'd probably just use a black caulk if the gaps aren't too big.
If the gaps are really wide I might try a roof sealant like one of these: http://www.amesresearch.com/roof_coatings.htm

Gasket Adhesive Removal

I need to replace the gasket around the ramp door.
Do y'all have any recommendations on how to remove the old glue?
Thanks in advance.

New tires for the tow vehicle

I'm pulling a 30 ft Sunline toyhauler @ 8000 lbs.
Most of my campsites are in open, grassy fields.
It gets a might humid in south Mississippi.
My current TV tires are Michelin LTX on an 06 Dodge Ram 2500.
The tires tend to spin on wet grass. I'm looking for something with a little more bite, but I don't want to give up too much in the way of noise.
I'm looking at an All-Terrain tire by:
BF Goodrich
Toyo
Opinions?
Other options?
I appreciate y'alls input.

RE: Spare Tire Mount Suggestions Please!

I wanted to hang my spare on the ramp door, but I was worried that bolts that were just running through the door would rip out, even with large body washers for support. My door is just styrofoam layered between two not-so-thick pieces of plywood with a fiberglas outer hull. I was also worried that the fiberglas would start cracking from the weight of the tire bouncing on rough roads.
So, here's what I did...
I went down to the local sheet metal shop and got two square pieces of stainless steel 24 x 24 inches. They even drilled the holes in them. Then I bolted them together from either side of the door. The outside one, I painted. The inside one got covered with no-slip tape from Home Depot.
Then I bolted the tire holder to the plates. Been over a year so far and I can't see any damage to the door.
It did make the door quite noticeably heavier, but not so I couldn't raise it.
