RE: Low priced leds, fast shipping

Thanks to JiminDenver, We used your link and purchased 10-48led panels. We are very satisfied. The color seems a bit yellowish to us but we are completely happy. Can't go too wrong for $1.79 each shipped! We did leave one 921 bulb in our two bulb bathroom fixture along with one new led panel, to help with the yellowish light color....kinda makes us look sickly when looking in the med cabinet mirror. I aint very good looking to begin with! Thanks for sharing your results.

RE: Master Lock the better of those available?

Hi Round two, That lock looks fine. They are probably good deterrents to bad guys. We have and use, a Gorilla Guard hitch lock, selected because it has a gorilla on it! No one will mess with a gorilla, right!:W Just remember to keep the spare key in your tow vehicle or trailer, in case you lose the one on your key ring:E Steve

RE: HTT with squeaking left rear wheel

Maybe just the brake shoes dragging on the drum and squeaking? Or maybe the trailer needs a nice long tow to a great location for a week or so! :)

RE: Honeymoon in an RV....

Got married in 1980. We spent all of our money and bought a tiny Coleman tent trailer and Honeymooned camping, instead of a trip to Hawaii. I ended up in a 17 bed hospital in Garberville, Ca in the Redwoods with an appendicitis!:E She camped alone on the Ave. of the Giants several nights. Aint I romantic. We are on our 4th trailer and still haven't made it to Hawaii.

RE: Adding an additional vent to A/C unit?

Thanks to Chris and all who responded. I think I will explore it further when the weather cools down.

RE: Quick Yosemite trip report...

Hey 1stgenfarmboy, Yeah it's an '07 Yamaha XT225. Belongs to our 21yr. old daughter who came with us to Yosemite. She rode it from Wawona through the tunnel to the valley as well as daily loops around the valley morning and evening. Truck never moved all week other than going up to Glacier. Wife and I took it to tunnel view early one morning to enjoy the view. We didn't go very fast up to the tunnel but it was fun. It's a lightweight, quiet little bike she is uses to commute to UCLA 10 miles each way all streets.

Quick Yosemite trip report...

Just returned from 9 nights in Yosemite...2 in Wawona and 7 in the valley. We have been to Yosemite at least 15 times over the years and this years was by far the quietest we have ever seen. All we spoke to about it said the Hanta virus and low water levels have really kept people away. Each night in both campgrounds the signs said campground full. Every night there were at least 2-4 empty sites per loop. Unheard of in YNP especially the valley. Shuttles were easy to get seats, food places uncrowded, no traffic, nice. Overheard park employees saying their hours had been cut due to the lower number of visitors. Curry village had shortened hours. (I had to watch the clock to make sure I got my ice cream!) So, great weather, great hikes, great views, great camping food, great time! Can't wait to go again next year...if we "win" the online reservation game again! Now for your viewing pleasure.... Adding an additional vent to A/C unit?

We have a Roo 19, small trailer with the standard Dometic "blast from the center" air conditioning unit. We rarely have hookups but just returned from Yosemite and stayed one night in 92 degree Bakersfield. The a/c works fine but in our little trailer the direct cold blast only hits the front and back near the ceiling. We couldn't direct the air down at a steep enough angle to feel it directly while sitting on the sofa or dinette. Question: We are thinking of adding an adjustable vent in the a/c unit itself. Going through the a/c ceiling assembly into the plenum supplying the 2 standard outlets. Considering a vent like this: A/C ceiling vent I haven't taken the ceiling assembly down to explore possible locations yet. Anyone see why this wouldn't work. Our old popup had a Carrier A/C with a standard "air shower" down vent pointing down. Helped keep my balding head cool! Thanks, Steve

RE: anyone into Geocaching while camping?

We enjoy geocaching, especially when camping. I go over the available caches at home and pick the interesting ones and skip the P and G's. I load the selected caches onto our Garmin Oregon and am ready for paperless caching! Careful selection of caches has taken us to many little know, historic, or just interesting places we never would have known!

10-19 bearing seals

Picked up several 10-19 double lip seals today. Noticed some of them were the usual raw metal outside edge and some on the same rack were green around the outside. Is the green something new to prevent rusting or seizing to drum? Also, on some larger seals the outside edge was blue. The seals were packaged in the RV store's own packaging so I couldn't tell the brands. Seals have always looked the same until today!:) They may be just messin' with my head!!!

RE: Why steal a truck tailgate?

Our '04 F150 has the key lockable tailgate. I read on a Ford truck forum how to add a door lock actuator to the tailgate. Now when I arm the truck, the doors and tailgate lock!
