I too have one that needs work, and it's not worth the price of a factory repair.

A friend on mine taught me to light the fridge this way after it has been off for a while.
1 - turn propane back on. I turn mine off when in storage.
2 - go to the stove
3 - turn on all burners and light them
4 - let burn for a minute or so
5 - turn off the burners
6 - then go to the fridge and turn it on.
this gets the air out of the line, and I can make sure the burning are operating properly before going to the fridge.
yes good advice...
also, my propane was running at low pressure... an RV repairman can quickly put a gauge on the system and set it to the correct pressure.

You should read the following article in regards to the kidnappings in Phoenix. It states that there hasn't been a "real" kidnapping in Phoenix for a long time. The kidnappings are tied to illegal immigrants, drug control among them, etc. The "Mexican" problem just crossed the border, however the authorities have cut into this a lot the past year. Just FYI.

Yes I have... extensively... I'm DONE.
I would LIKE to travel there again... but I just don't see them cleaning up their act enough to make it safe.... but I do pay attention.

The actions of our politicians can have tremendous impact in our ability to buy and use motorhomes in the future, whether it be because of tax increases that make it impossible to afford, emissions/fuel regulations, etc. To say that political discussion have no place in RV.net is completely naive and wrong. If you don't want to discuss politics, don't read the thread. But these threads are important and need to stay.
