RE: Sissor Jacks

I have BAL (Stabilizer jacks)on our TT and they have worked fine, no complaints. I'm sure either manufacture's would work just fine.

RE: Quick MSCONFIG question

MSConfig is overkill IMHO if all you want to do is enable/disable startup items. ccleaner has a much easier interface in their "Tools" option. Totally agree, ccleaner has a much easier interface.

RE: Pay as you go USA cell phone any good deals?

We use TracFone which we purchase a yearly service with double minutes and it cost me less than $10.00 per month. Now it may not be the best but for the cost we believe it serves our needs satisfactorily, Worth looking into. Forgot to mention, you retain all unused minutes.

RE: Lastpass, password manager

Personally I use an Excel Spreadsheet however I store that sheet plus all other confidential data on a "True Crypt" drive and carry a copy of the True Crypt drive on a USB drive. I decided to try TrueCrypt 6.2a and installed it yesterday evening and am currently running what I would call Beta tests to see if it will satisfy our needs. The only issue I have found thus far is the inability to verify that the data is truly encrypted, is there a way to verify this ?

RE: Lastpass, password manager

Does anyone use the password manager in Firefox ? and if so, how secure is it ?.

RE: Lastpass, password manager

A Word document with all your passwords on it, with a password to open the docuemnt, is probably the most secure way to remember your passwords. While there are several great password keeping programs out there that will protect, encrypt, slice & dice the passwords Word is not one of them. A protected Word document can be opened in just a few seconds with the right tools..... Any Recommendations ?

RE: Lastpass, password manager

A Word document with all your passwords on it, with a password to open the docuemnt, is probably the most secure way to remember your passwords. This is my current way of managing my passwords, just thought there may be something better.

RE: DICOR Questions

Another vote for Eternabond.

RE: What size Eternabond?

I did ours with the 4". I felt it gave a better overlap on the seams. A good source is Best Material which has a 4" 50 foot roll for $53.15.

RE: roof damage from trees and who to trust...

I zoomed in on your picture and it does not look like a total roof replacement to me. If you want to cover what look to me as surface scratches I also would recommend Eternabond tape, I used Eternabond on a seam on our TT over 3 years ago and it still looks like new and most importantly there is no leaks.

RE: Question - Am I being rude?

My question here is if it's still taboo if it's, for example, late at night, no one outside, early, no one outside? I realize in both cases, that we should be quiet and not disturb those inside, but if you glanced out the window and you saw us walk quietly by, would you consider us rude? Yes.....

RE: Covering an RV completely with Eternabond

I hope the roof is strong enough to withstand the additional weight and do you know what effects it will it have on your gas mileage. :B

RE: Digital Camera Recommendation

Thanks to everyone for your inputs. The information received opened my eyes to all the different features/options available, that being said I will be summarizing the information and narrow down the choices to meet our needs. We like simplicity, ease of use, shirt pocket size and fast recovery from shot to shot. Below are a few of the features we would like: Both Viewfinder and LCD Screen 5 megapixel minimum 5x minimum optical/digital zoom Point and Shoot SD Memory card (non Proprietary) AA Batteries (lithium) Currently work fine for our current camera. Anti shake or Stabilizer feature Close-up capability

Digital Camera Recommendation

We are looking to purchase a new digital camera as our current one is showing it's age. I'm sure everyone has one (a least the majority who travel) so I decided to gather information from those that have had hands on experience as to the pro's and con's of their specific camera. Please recommend what is a good brand and model to consider and those that should be avoided. Thank you

RE: Apricot&Jalapeno Barbecue Pork Spare Ribs

Steve, Just cut up the ribs to a size where they fit in the pot, this way they will hold in the flavor and cut them up prior to serving.

RE: A trick for fresh water

I have seen some that have a large washer soldered or tack welded to the spigot so that a water thief will not work. I like 'skipnchar', carry three 3 gallon containers with a built in spout for refilling the tank. The 3 gallon is just the right weight (24lbs.) should they have to be lugged any distance.
