RE: Interesting Fact~many Serving Military not Citizens

My son had a girl in his Navy boot camp 2 years ago that was from Jamaica and was pursuing US citizenship.

RE: Use your kitchen?

I love getting up in the morning and putting the coffee pot on in the kitchen. We usually just have English muffins or bagels and some fruit. Hubby will cook a big breakfast a couple of mornings of vacation. We have a rear kitchen fifth wheel and love the layout !

RE: Delaware?

We love Killens Pond state park in Delaware, they have a water park for the kids too.

RE: Who IS that handsome young man?

Your son sounds like he is on the right track. My son is still friends with some of his shipmates from Navy boot camp class in 2007, even though they are not stationed together. I wrote him lots of cards and letters during those 8 weeks. He said "mail call" was the best part of the day. Good luck to Aaron.

RE: I Love My Cats

CA Poppy, We have a cat named Trouble too! This morning at 5:30am she was jumping on our feet in bed to get us up to get her wet food for her and the other 3 cats.

RE: Are you the Parent of a High School Grad? I need your INPUT!

We had to pay for my son and daughter's graduation gowns in 2006 and 2007, respectively. I think they were between $25 to $35. I couldn't believe when they brought them home to see they were made of really poor quality shiny fabric. The material kind of reminded me of those flimsy store bought Halloween costumes we wore as kids, the ones that would go up in flames if you ever got near fire.

RE: Office employee nicknames...?

We call one of the executives "Circus" behind his back, as in "the Circus is in town". He is one of those big mouth, cell phone yakking, pacing around the office types. I was appalled to see him open one of the windows in his office and lean out to shout to his buddy in the parking lot ! I guess I missed that opportunity, should of given him a shove, lol.

RE: Cherrystone CG...Virgina....Opinions!

Cyber, My honest opinion is that Cherrystone is "coasting" by on it's previous reputation. It's a very noisy, rowdy cg. If it rains, the water settles in the roads, and you get splashed if you are walking or riding your bicycles. The roads are gravel and really need to be paved. I highly recommend Kiptopeke state park, right down the road from Cherrystone. Since you & Vicki are such avid fishermen, you can walk to the fishing pier or the swimming beach from your site at Kiptopeke. The sites are much more spaced apart at Kiptopeke, you won't be dissapointed. Cherrystone's sites are very tight, our neighbor's awning was practically touching our unit. PM if you have any other specific questions.

RE: Gettysburg do' and don'ts

Appalachian brew pub on Buford Ave next to the General Lee Inn has great specialty brews on tap and cheap eats. Sleepyhollow ghost tour is well worth the $7.00 for 90 minutes of entertainment.

RE: "Bath Fitter" type tub liners...Any advice?

I have used Bath Fitter twice and would recommend them. First time was in my last house I sold in 2001. Hubby & I used them in our current house in 2006. Very profesional company, they come out and measure first and give you an estimate. They lay down plastic runners on your floors so they don't get any other rooms dirty. The cost can vary depending if you need new fixtures or the condition of the walls behind it. On my last house, the wall was uneven so they had to build it up a litle and it cost $3,000. Our current bathroom was $2,500, and we kept our original fixtures. Hint- I always get 10% off any professional services by offering to let them put their advertising sign on my front lawn for a month or two !

RE: Cat Left alone 1 week...What would you do???

I'm glad the kitty's owners returned safely too. I have a coworker of mine who lives in the next town and also has cats. We agreed to trade cat sitting services for free. Much less stressful on the cats and owners.

RE: Want to Buy a New Car

HappyTraveler, Private message me if you re still interested in a Chevy or GM product. I am a GMAC employee and can get you a certificate for friend/family pricing ( 4% over factory invoice). You also still get the rebate on top of that.

RE: opinion on 5th wheel purchase

Another vote for Jayco here. We previously had a Jayco HTT and now have a 2008 Jayco 27.5 fifth wheel and love it too. The fit and finish is very nice.

RE: B'day gift ideas-84 yr old man

My Dad just turned 83 this month. He's a WWII veteran and for Christmas my hubby & I got him a nylon windbreaker jacket with his first name embroidered on the front and his Navy Seabees crest on the back. He said he gets stopped all of the time by people to shake his hand and thank him for his military service. We are fortunate to live near him so for his birthday I baked him cookies and we took him to lunch. My brother usually buys him gift certificates to the car wash, coffee shop or supermarket.

RE: I'm gonna need HELP!!!!

If it's any consolation, I had a Newfie that lived to be 13 which is very old for the breed and was the most sweet natured, loving, kid friendly dog I have ever owned.

RE: Zaberers Steak House in New Jersey

I can picture the sign for Zaberers. Was it near the entrance to Wildwood or Atlantic City? Famous for it's steaks, correct ?

RE: Daytona 500

I knew that NASCAR would not fine their "sacred cash cow", even though Jason Leffler was fined 5 laps on Saturday for doing the same thing. I just wish Jr's handlers would inform him that it is not good manners to pick your nose on television.

CloudDancer, I see you cheer for all of the "bad boys" in NASCAR, lol. I can't even argue with you, because of all of those boys can really drive.

RE: Cat Harness

We use an extra large bunny harness on our big orange tabby. He is about 13 lbs. all in his middle, lol. He knows he is not allowed out without his "jacket". It is a jacket style with velcro and snap lock typed closures.
