Surburban RV Range SRNA3

I've never had an oven before, but there's one in the 2011 Shadow Cruiser 195WBS which I recently purchased.
I need help finding the pilot light for the oven......where is it?!
And then please help me with the lighting procedure.
The 3 top burners work perfectly, so the gas is obviously on. But I'm at a loss with the oven operation.
Thanks in advance for help.

RE: 2011 Shadow Cruiser 195WBS

Good idea - thanks. We just picked up our Shadow Cruiser from the seller. Our first trip in it will be this weekend. How do you like yours so far?

RE: Montreal

We were there last summer and their was construction on many parts of those roads - traffic was a nightmare - exits were not easily accessible pulling a trailer and in spite of "slow down" signs, most drivers were speeding. Perhaps the construction is over by now, but I'd check.

RE: Dog friendly parks Cape Cod-Maine

You should definitely go to the White Mountains, especially Mt. Washington & environs -a beautiful part of our country. We stayed at the Saco River Campground while exploring the area last summer - dog friendly there. It's right on the Saco River, but if you stay there, don't choose a river site (very muddy if it rains), rather choose a site on the grass 2 or 3 rows back. There is a wonderful dog day care kennel in Conway - www.karlaspets.com. We left our dog there while we took the cog railway up Mt. Washington. It came very highly recommended & lived up to our expectations. Safe travels!

Searching for the impossible?

We’re looking for a place for February 2014. In 02/13, we spent a month at the Carrabelle Beach RV Park on Florida’s panhandle. The RV Park was perfection, but the weather was awful (cold, windy and often rainy), and although we really aren’t “shoppers”, it would have been nice to have a decent grocery store nearby – closest well equipped one was in excess of 40 miles away.
However, we are now spoiled by the amenities at Carrabelle Beach, and are in a quest for a park with similar amenities somewhere where the weather might be better and warmer in February……Texas perhaps?
Concrete pads for parking
Picnic Table on site
Clean Restrooms with strong showers
Off leash dog area (or a nearby dog park) – a definite necessity!
Close to water (beach, lake, river, bayou)
If beach, dogs permitted
Well equipped grocery easily accessible
Well maintained and landscaped park
Travel Trailers permitted (ours is 22 feet)
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Does anyone have this model? If so, I need help figuring out storage in the galley area. Specifically, where do you put the paper towel holder?

RE: 2011 Shadow Cruiser 195WBS

Deal? Not sure it's a good deal. $13,900 which includes an Equalizer Hitch. We are having a lot of trouble finding a trailer that is 22' or less with a walk around bed, good storage, a decent size bathroom with a tub, and an oven. This has it all and appears in excellent shape. Comments please!

2011 Shadow Cruiser 195WBS

Help please. We are considering this trailer. Can anyone provide pros and or cons? We have read about some issues with the axles, but the dealer assures us that the former owner had the "axles changed out" at the dealership where it is currently for sale, and that they have the work order to prove it, and will equip it with 4 new tires. It appears in excellent shape otherwise. Thanks for any comments you can provide.

RE: Cape Breton, Cabot Trail

Re seeing the trail in one day....I agree that's not a good plan. Suggest at least 4 days if not more. One can drive up one side, and back down and then the other and back down - several times! Retracing steps is nothing but wonderous - you could enjoy those sights thousands of times and it wouldn't be enough.

RE: Cape Breton, Cabot Trail

Ditto recommendaticon to stay in Baddeck while exploring the area. We stayed at the Bra D'Or Lake Campground at Mile Marker 80 off Rt. 105 outside of Baddeck. It's a lovely spot, well maintained, with very friendly and helpful owners. From there, we were able to enjoy the Cabot Trail without stressing our tow vehicle, along with many of the other must sees in that beautiful part of Canada. We were there for a week and could have stayed a month and still not fully enjoying what the area has to offer.

RE: Tossing Tacky Decor in TT

So glad to read this post! I've wondered if I was the only one who couldn't stand the interior upholstery, wall coverings, etc. in just about every trailer I have seen. Question: Is it possible to just paint over those hideous wallpaper borders? Also, would appreciate DIY details about covering dinette cushions, and any other suggestions about classing up a trailer.

RE: Florida Panhandle

We spent February 2013 at the Carrabelle RV Beach Resort in Carrabelle, FL. The Park was exceptional in every way and steps from a gorgeous beach. It would have been perfection, except for the weather......cold, mostly rainy, t'storms and several tornados in the vicinity.

RE: Association Island 1000 island area??

We were there in early September 2011 - NO bugs - NO algae - just a really beautiful place - we loved it. As posted above, there is no shopping anywhere nearby, so you need to go there fully equipped, or plan on putting miles on your car. Friendly staff; clean bathhouse; beautiful views; lots of places to walk your dog if you have one. Ultimate relaxation!

RE: Tired of The Same Place

We're looking for a somewhat similiar place. However, we are part of the early to bed group, preferring to get up early to enjoy the sunrise. We don't mind paying, if only we could find a spot which is NOT in Florida!

It's always the KOA for us. The staff is very accommodating; the bathhouse is immaculate; and, important for us, there is an enclosed off leash area for our dog.

RE: Quebec City

We stayed at Camping Transit in Levis and took the ferry over to Quebec City - worked perfectly. The campground was spotlessly clean and spacious. The staff, not fluent in English, were very patient in attempting to understand my high school French, and helped us with our plans.
