Onan 5K problem

I have an 1994 Onan 5K generator in a Southwind motorhome. I start it every few weeks to keep it "loose." It turns over perfectly, there is plenty of fuel in the tank, but there is no electricity to the sparkplugs this time. I see nothing in the owners manual for this issue. I assume the kill switch interrupts the sparkplug voltage in order to shut it down, so could there be something wrong with those switches? Both start/stop switches turn the unit over normally. Any ideas? Thanks. Ron
