RE: The afterlife of Country Coach
I am not a lawyer, but I think any contractual obligations for advertising with a company that no longer exists are over and out.
That domain name was purchased by another company and they are selling on the internet. It is not hte old Circut City anymore. This is another reason to be careful.
RE: Allison 3000 MH 6 Speed and Dexron III
Dexron is backwards compatable so anything higher than III will work.
CAUTION: Are you checking cold or hot fluid? If checking cold it will read low as Dexron expands when the fluid heats up. The dip stick is designed for hot fluid.
RE: Installing a sky light. Good idea?
Noticed you live in S Fla. You will have a lot of heat gain through the skylight so some way to insulate on hot days will be necessary.
RE: Possible seal leak on ISC 350 Hydraulic fan motor.
I replaced the seal on a '91 Baronett. Seems the rubber seal can wear a grove in the steel shaft. At that time you could get an upgraded "double" seal and it is press fit. Biggest job was the R and R of the motor.
DP Pittman Arm Leak
Repair Point wants to have steering box rebuilt at a cost of $1000 plus R&R at three hours. I was under the impression it was a seal like used in an axle shaft. Any imput would be appreciated.
1997 Beaver Patriot with a Magnum Chassis I do not know brand of steering box.
RE: Vandalism...file police report?
When you file a report ask the law enforcement agency how many reports have been filed for the storage location. You may be susprised.
RE: Air Horns
Truck Chrome shops sells "Train Horns" if you want something loud.
I would check to be sure that you are getting power to the horns first with a test light. The manufacturer should have a trouble shooting sequence for the cheapest way to fix them.
RE: Had a blowout Friday, just got it fixed today. UPDATE
Tire age was probably arround 5 years so should not have been a factor. You may be able to get some help on the tire cost from Goodyear as that seems to be what you replaced it with another one. You will need the failed tire (so they can verify the cause of failure) and any documentation of having weighed your motorhome. Would also help if you maintain a fueling log to show the motorhome does not set for long periods of time (several months) or a travel log.
RE: Have sold my coach & looking at a Beaver
Beaver Ambassador Club Is a good place to ask: E mail one of the posters and they will ak for feedback from the owners.
RE: 3 Orlando KOA's: Which one do U like for big rig Class-A?
Stayed at Kissimmee KOA on their longest site which is a paved 200 ft pad with patio with table and chairs, porch like swing and a portable clay fire thing. They have several of these "super duper" sites and were very pleasant. Will stay again. It is accross the street from where they sold so a Sams Club could be built.
RE: What's up with Beaver ride height
A lot of Beaver's have air leveling and in park mode levels at a lower than ride height. We dump our air bags before leveling with jacks for two reasons, 1 is step height and 2 a larger range of height adjustment is available.
This is not unique to Beaver.
