RE: Need recommendation for rear bike rack for 2004 Roadtrek.

For my RT 210 V I got a Swagman bike carrier, the models that carries 2 bikes. In it, you don't "hang" the bikes, but set the wheels on loops that hold them. If you only transport one bike, you do not need a hitch extension to clear the spear tire, just use the aft loop. If you carry 2 bikes, then just buy a 8 or 11 inch extension. Very easy to install both the extension and the carrier. The nice thing about the Swagman is that you can "collapse" it very easily to gain access to the back door and open it without removing the carrier. Best value of all the carriers I looked at.

RE: Messy situation

Here is an update: I did empty the tank using the macerator pump. From the amount that came out, I estimated that it was half full (the gauge showed 2/3, but it's not reliable). After emptying the tank, run some water into the kitchen sink, and same thing happened: water coming up the drain in the trench. Same thing happens when I pour water in the lavatory. Looks like the part that drains into the grey water tank is clogged. Will take it to RV Medic next week and report back.

RE: Messy situation

I will check back on the tank after draining it (have a macerator pump) and let you know. Don't recall using that much water, but...

Messy situation

Something in my RT 210 v (2006) is blocking the drain to the grey tank. As a result, when the water runs on the kitchen or the bath sink, it bubbles up from the drain in the floor that is in the "shower trench" in the galley. I tried to unplug it using a regular home drain unclogger (a plastic "snake like" device) and a plunger (which made more water come up the drain). Any ideas of where to go next ?

RE: Virginia Creeper Trail

You may want to check the Creek side RV park in Damascus. Very small (I think 10 or 12 sites), located in the middle of town. You can walk a few blocks to the bike rental/transport outfitters, that will take you to the trail. Very convenient.

Water pump replacement

I need to replace my Shurflo water pump on my 2006 RT 210 V. It loses priming, and now it just cannot get enough pressure into the pipes, and as a resuult keeps "pumping" non-stop. What kind of pump do you recommend I use to replace it. Would like to get a quieter one, preferably with an acummulator, but I see that the room for it is very tight. Anybody had experience with a better replacement pump?

RE: What a _nice_ one-nighter! (GSMNP)

Handbasket, when I was at Elkmont two years ago there was no verizon signal at all.I doubt it has changed since.

RE: Duallys on my PW

I wonder if that can be done also on a 2006 Chevy Roadtrek 210 widebody ?
