RE: roadside assistance

I had a blow out last year with the camper on the truck. I have State Farm. I paid the wrecker driver for the change. Then when I got home State Farm paid me back. My camper is fully covered on or off my truck. The truck has road side service. Good luck ART

RE: Insurance

We have State Farm and when I went in about six months ago to re-do my insurance he said it was covered when it was on the truck and covered at home when it was in the driveway, no separate insurance needed.

We love ours. We use to take trips also I wanted something to save on hotels and eating out all the time when I'm bird and waterfowl hunting. (posted some photos from a couple of years ago).. Now all I do is load dog and guns up and away we go. NO looking for a hotel that takes dogs and stuff.. As far as quality I have only own a NL.. love the camper love the built... Have had several complements on it.. able to get around in it anywhere we want to go.... good luck ART

RE: Cooking underway

Howdy!
We use a Nissan thermal cooker, no gas/electric needed. Put what you want to cook in heat it up seal itwe place it in the sink area. Works great while traveling or boondocking. There not cheap but well worth it as we fulltime and get a lot of use out of it.

Chiefneon
Can you put raw food in it and it will cook it... or does it need to be done before you place it in the thermal cooker...

RE: Cooking underway

This is the way I was thinking about secure the food in the oven. When I was on board a Coast Guard ship The cook had a device that holds food into place.. Now some of us are really bad drivers but nothing compares to being underway at sea.. Crock pots would not work no geny.

RE: Cooking underway

Thinking something along that lines... cooking dish with a aluminum baking it sits in... double protection... we were thinking when we are getting down the road and want to get somewhere about a hour before we want to stop for the night or just pull in somewhere and eat... It would be nice to have it done.. I have a window I can see in the back so If anything should happen I would see it quickly... may have to give it a try... mmmm ART

Ok... Question... Has anyone put a casserole or something of that nature in your oven while traveling so when you stop dinner is ready..
First Im a firefighter so I don't need bashing here I'm not stupid. Securing the dish so no spill over would be very important..
But I have had some good advise here before so Im just fishing... thanks ART

RE: Ever had a rear tire go flat on your SRW while loaded?

NEVER STEP ON THE GAS let off the gas. My 08 F350 has a built in engine brake. If not let off the gas get control. I never lost control of the truck simply off the gas apply slight brake get off the road.

RE: Infrared of my camper

I own a Infrared company. Had a electrical inspection today. Yes IR will not see through glass. It has thermal pain windows... We did notice the camper cooler in the rear of the unit... now I see the heat loss around the back door. Put up a curtain to block the air.. We we go out next week. Been wanting to scan the camper for while.. Thanks for all the input.. ART
