RE: Question about Newer Northern-Lite Basement Models

I have a 06 10.2. Last year I had a leak in the camper. How I found out luckily I had a small hole in the shell on the bottom. (a different story). Water was coming out when I ran any water in the gray tank. There is a access panel at the front of the basement, crawled in remove the panel found this. http://imageshack.us/a/img15/3240/07qj.jpg I repaired the pipe, did some fiber glass repair on the camper. Every thing good to go. So to answer your question yes I have crawled in the basement. Have a good one ART.

RE: Crystal Beach, Texas

I have one suggestion. When I was in the Coast Guard in Port Aransas I use to laugh at the tourist that had the big ideal to wash there vehicles with the Gulf water. Saw a guy cleaning his brand new semi. I could not take it I walk up to him told him nice rig. His chest puff out and said thanks. I ask him where he was from he stated UP of Michigan, I said cool I stood there for a min and told him you know that is SALT WATER you are cleaning you brand new rig with. It took about 10 sec to sink in. $HIT where the nearest car wash. Funny thing he never came back to the beach that day. Have a great time on the beach. ART

RE: First impressions and first trip report with new camper.

I use that wood piece to hold open the bathroom door if not level when cleaning and such. also place it where you had it when traveling just in case latch came loose. Have fun with your new camper, I have a 10.2 2006 and it looks like brand new. Well built, ART

Air Tabs Results

OK, Just got back from a 2500 mile trip. Here is my findings. 1. Zero cab noise. We were in storms and windy conditions most of the time and zero cab noise. I also notice when in truck traffic my truck handle better. Even on a two lane when on coming truck went by I did not have the head wind. 2. Millage was a constant 11.7 mpg in the past it would bounce around the 10 range. The last part of Interstate I even got up to 12mpg. 3. Bugs on bulkhead seem to less. As I mention before we were in rain a lot so the jury is still out but it seem to less then in past trips. We are heading to MI in Aug we will see. Over all I'm happy with the investment and I have accomplish what I was intending to do. Good luck ART

RE: Air Tabs Installed

James, I think you are right, The guy I bought these off of stated it would help reduce the drag behind the camper. Also might help keep a little cleaner. I'm going to add some before heading west for my annual hunting trip in Montana. High winds in the Dakota's will be a true test. ART

RE: Air Tabs Installed

bjbear Good question my non expert opinion I think any location would work, I just wanted to disrupt the air in that area and trying to eliminate the cab noise. I chose to put them above the doors. Also I did not want to block the clearance light. As you know this is a******shoot no one has done it before. I will tell you I now have around 700 miles on my truck since I install them no increase in bugs and the cab noise is still min. My wife and came home last weekend into a T-storm high winds we had very little cab noise so I feel they are working. We are leaving for a two week vacation next Wed. We are heading south into bug country so I will have a report for everyone. Thanks to everyone for the support! ART
