RE: 2005 DUTCHMEN PILGRIM OPEN ROAD 37M361

I doubt that there is a plumbing schematic. It's a pretty simple system. Waste water goes through the "P" trap into a pipe maybe runs only a few feet and dumps into a gray tank. Open the "P" trap and run a snake through the pipe into the tank. Problem solved.. B.O.

RE: Anyone heard of these tires?

Well if you buy a set and one goes bad on a trip where do you think you could go for warranty service? Why not spend a couple bucks more for a brand you've heard of and trust... B.O.

RE: Roof Warranties

Only the fabric on the roof has a warranty beyond one year. Dealers really like to stress this as if it is worth something...It covers the rubber or plastic covering in the even it should leak. It doesn't cover, labor, caulking, fittings and then it's probably pro-rated besides. Total value of roof warranty...maybe a couple hundred bucks on a bill to replace at approximately $150.00 a running foot...Next to worthless in my opinion..Good luck. B.O.

RE: Double pulling

65 ft is limit for me in Texas and will certainly be within range there. As far as being a "real" biker I will just have to be ok with myself being a poser until I can teach my dogs to ride also. lol Just giving you some static. With as hard as it is to find decent places to stay I don't blame you. I was there in 1974. After seeing 4 people killed in 2 days we left. I'm sure it's changed since then, but just not my kind of place..Have a good time and be safe. B.O.

RE: Finding Past Owner

I had some idiot call me about my wife's old car that I had traded in. We had several problems with it and I just wanted to see it gone...The dealer gave him my name. I just told him if the car was in great shape I would have kept it..When I sell something I don't want to see it or hear about it..Just me I guess. B.O.

RE: 1T Pickup special rules and regulations?

2500 series trucks are usually the same as their 3500 counterparts with only one exception. The rear springs are heavier on the 3500 series. All else is exactly the same. In Minnesota there are a few areas around the Twin Cities that will not allow any vehicles that are licensed over 9,000# GW on those roads. Otherwise you have no restrictions. The one thing you will notice is the license plate on a one ton are based on the weight of the vehicle not the sale price. Your one-ton plates will cost about 25% or even less than a 2500 series counterpart. B.O.

RE: Fixing hole in corrugated alum siding?

Order a new panel from a dealer or look around online. It's easy to find. Metal sided trailers are sided from the top down so the piece is the last one that went on. It's very easy to replace and the panel can be removed and replaced in about 1-2 hours time. Just undo the the corner moldings, and moldings around any trim. Remove the staple along the bottom and the staples under the edge moldings. The panel will the slip out pulling downward. Use the old for a pattern and trim the new one to fit. Slip it back up into place. Staple it down and replace the trim.. B.O.

RE: TrailAir pinbox

The Tri-Glide portion is just a different jaw. I can be added to a std Trail-Aire hitch. I have a Tri-Glide it works okay. I'm not sure it's worth the extra investment. They aren't cheap. I would look at your hitch and make sure all is well there first. Trail-Aire is owned by Lippert. You should be able to order the Tri-Glide portion from any dealer that sells the hitch. Prices will vary greatly from one source to another. You might try Lippert direct. B.O. Do you get a clunk when starting and stoping with the TriGlide? I do get a slight clunk at times and my Super Glide is adjusted up tight. I'm not 100% sold on the Tri-Glide jaw although it does tow nice except when starting or stopping. I've never towed without it except with a standard pin box without air ride. B.O.

RE: 2013 FORD F-250 6.2 GAS ENG. MPG

Can't imagine you can get anything close to a 4:30 gearset in a F-250. But after looking you sure can. Can't imagine the mileage would be very good. It would be screaming at 60 mph B.O.

RE: TrailAir pinbox

Do you have air pressure set so you can see top of arrows? I found that for me I get a better ride if I keep the pressure set so the trailer floats from bottom of arrow head to about 1/2 inch below on normal highway driving. Randu I do about the same. Rides rough if I raise it to the top of the arrowhead..But then who knows if the decal placement is very consistent. B.O.

RE: Need advice on checking and changing brakes

Pull the wheels and brake drums, may be a good time to repack the bearings. Four bolts and two wires and the whole brake assembly comes off. I bought 4 of them for mine and replaced everything. E-Trailer has them at a good price. So does Eastern Marine. Local stores will be much higher. Auto parts places won't know what you're talking about. Much easier to replace the whole thing instead of just the shoes. Costs well under $100.00 per wheel if you shop them online. After you put it back together be sure to burnish them in and adjust them when done. B.O.

Tweedys gets my vote: They sell online but also have a retail store in Boerne, TX. Great service and much better prices than most. B.O.

RE: Frig. drain hose ???

I had mine replaced by the dealer last Sept. while the 5er was in for a list of repairs. That end piece's main function isn't to stop bugs from getting in. "Some newer models have the drain hose protruding through the access door with a small cap inserted into the end of the drain hose. This cap has many small holes. This drain tube needs to have a ā€œPā€ trap before exiting the lower access panel. Condensation drains are designed to allow condensation to escape and prevent ambient air from reaching the cooling fins." I've had several trailers. Never saw one with a "P" trap. There wouldn't be any room for one anyway. In plumbing systems isn't a "P" trap installed to prevent sewer gases from backing up through the drain? The little cap is to keep out insects. JMHO B.O.

RE: Testing Trailer Brakes with Break Away Cable

Dexter manual says brakes need to burnished in when new. Stop from a speed of around 40 mph approximately 35-40 times. I did this on mine then adjusted them. The change was dramatic. You can look the procedure online.. B.O.

Now the question is...will I have a need for more than one gallon? And yes most of the products they had were on close-out. I also got a gallon of de-greaser for $1.99.. B.O.

I thought this only happened to Lippert frames? It looks like the highly touted Arctic Fox isn't without frame problems either. B.O.

RE: another delay

It's too bad there isn't any money to be made delivering these trailers. If it paid a little better they would have more drivers than they could handle.. B.O.
