RE: 2010 GMC 2500 vs. 2010 Toyota Tundra

I went from a 1500 Chevy to the 2500hd. Don't see a big difference in power, but the truck tows and stops much better. Big step from a 1500 to a 2500 in brakes, tires, and suspension.

RE: Hitch Adjustment - Leveling Trailer

Correct, I tilted the ball back to adjust the wd bars. I am also level to a little high in the front of the trailer. The Chevy is high and that's all the adjustment I had in my existing hitch. Tows fine.

RE: Hitch Adjustment - Leveling Trailer

I did the same thing and had to tilt the ball back. Truck tows great. Jealous of the Diesel (I have Gas Motor). Good Luck

RE: For those with GM 2500 HD with 6.0 gasser...

Just got back 2200 Mile roung trip NJ to Michigan. Truck ran and pulled great. Trailer weighs aroung 7000 lbs. 65-70 MPH no problem, likes to rev in the hills. 8-8-1/2 MPG average for trip.

RE: GM 6.0 towing

I am towing a 32 foot outback at 7000# with a 2012 2500hd 6.0 4.10 rear. Tows up all the hills great, just likes to rev and drink some gas. I get around 8 towing, 14 empty on highway. Onstar says 13 lifetime average so far. I have 5K on truck.

RE: 5900# TT & F150 5.0 Gas Mileage

With my last truck (Silveradro 5.3) and a 24 Foot outback I got 10-11 MPG towing and 18-19 empty. Now 13-14 Empty and 8-9 Towing.

North Jersey to Makinac Island

RE: For those with GM 2500 HD with 6.0 gasser...

I have the 6.0 with 4.10 rear. Yes it does rev, and yes it does drink gas. For me the gas engine is easy to maintain, and for the amount of miles I drive is a great truck. I believe the chassis is the same gas or diesel, so they handle the weight the same. Just less motor in the hills.

RE: 2007-2012 Silverado 2500HD Gas

4.10 and 6 speed Tows great but does like to drink gas, between 8-10 towing depends on conditions. Best empty 14 MPG Highway.

RE: MY LIPPERT FRAME REPAIR

Fisherguy You did a good job, go camping. A lot of campers have Lippert frames and I guess we now know to watch them. Thanks

RE: MY LIPPERT FRAME REPAIR

Nice Job. Stitch welding is better, Welding Solid can create problems. A buudy of mine had lippert repair his frame, they did it in the driveway. Sloppiest repair I've ever seen. He sold it soon after.
