RE: Corner Bed Help?

We had a corner bed once and used a Travasak but they are pricy and the sheets are really big for your washer. Now that we are looking for a C, if we like everything else, I can live with a corner bed.

RE: Aadvice on a gas C or B Plus

Thx for all the suggestions. We always go to the Hershey show. I guess I was fishing for known problems with certain models. We will be looking at the 4 winds if they have one with a fiberglass roof. Might even go Fleetwood now that they have their act together. I've heard that the brite tec roof holds up pretty well. Our last 2 Class A's were Winnebago but don't want to tie too much money up at this stage in our lives. I've been watching for used. We took the big loss on 5 new units and we won't be using this unit that much. Am even going to look at trailer hybreds if they have one light enough for our Town and Countr

Aadvice on a gas C or B Plus

We are downsizing from our pusher which we sold in March. Would like to have a small unit that will sleep 6 and have seatbelts for 6 so we can do trips with gkids in a unit that I will help drive. Don't need full body paint, but want jacks. How about the 4 Winds? Pros or cons, we saw a 2015 that would be reasonable w/o the power awning and paint. Thx

RE: Travasaks on sale at CW.

My husband bought a queen Travasak back in 89 or 90 when he had a MH with a corner bed. We have used it several months a year since. We just sold the MH but am keeping all our "stuff" as we are looking for a B or C. Was good quality to last ALL these years. Wonder how the new ones will hols up.

RE: Summer trip from Southeastern PA to Badlands South Dakota

We have been there many times, Sturgis is Aug 4-10 this year so advoid week before Wall Drug is neat and don't miss Crazy Horse. The drive thru the hills is nice. We stay off the turnpike ,usually take the few miles on it to Washington PA then 40 to Indy and work our way north. You can overnight at the Cabellas in Mitchell and visit the Corn Palace nearby.

RE: Third Major Blue Ox Casualty

Was surprised that you had a failure. Towed a Chevy Cavalier 100,000 and a heavy van 20,000 always level then traded Aventa 11 in for another and have towed a Vue 20,000 miles. Never a problem with 3 baseplates and 2 bars. Good Luck

RE: Coach heat on 2004 Winnebago/Itasca 32V

Sorry to hear of your big expense. When our fan went on our Adventurer, we opted not to have that floor heat and the cab heat was enough.

RE: Elks Club membership

We have stayed at many Elk , Moose, VFW, and American Legion sites over the years. Most Elk lodges offer electric and a place to draw water, none of the ones we stayed at had FHU, and all expect a donation, some as high as $20. Austin TX wanted 20-30 for dry camping. If you are just looking for inexpensive places to stay I would suggest Passport America. We like to stay at the service clubs because they are usually friendly and we can get a good meal. PS just saw the post about the Florrisant Lodge, we stayed there many times while my sister in law was living. Great bunch of folks.

RE: Knoebels in Elysburg PA

We have stayed at J and D and at the old Knoebles campground. When we had a popup the old one was fine. We stayed for several days there in the MH but the sites were tight so then we stayed outside the park and drove the car in. Knoebles Lake Glory campground is in Catawissa PA as is J and D. Some of the reviewers on rvparkreviews.com have the 2 Knoebles campgrounds mixed up are are writing reviews for both on the Elysburg one.
