RE: any experience at Wilderness Camp at Disney???

Someone said parking is 15, no it is 20. The main perk to being on site is early and late Magic Hours. Next time my kids visit, will use my pass holder discount to get them on site so they can do more in a few days.

RE: Buying a Former Rental Class C. How many of us out there?

Weigh the rig loaded for a trip then go in on the tire chart for your brand tires and go from there.

RE: Verizon coverage in Yuma

Not all stores are Verizon, some are like a franchise and try to sell you unneeded items. If you call Verizon they will tell you which ones are true Verizon. I learned this because the one in my hometown is a partner store and the one 20 miles away is the real deal, salesman told me he doesn't get a commission and to wait until days around black Friday to buy my new phone either from them or order directly from Verizon for the same price.

RE: Going to Florida

17 is 15 miles longer but you do have some lights which add time, We get off 95 at Fredericksburg quite often if we are hitting DC at commuter time.

RE: Going to Florida

Route 81 thru Virginia is a lot of mountains, had you thought about going over to 95 at Winchester VA, seldom ever get snow along the coast. We only use 77 to 81 sometimes in the spring when we come home. That would be rt 66 east to 17 s to 95 and it is shorter also. We used to drive a MH home with toad and those mountains in VA and 77 are heck on fuel. Now we use a van.

RE: 55+ communities

We like Mission the best, less wind, anyone who says no activities hasn't been to the valley, we danced every day, love to ride the bikes and play volleyball. Haven't been down for 3 years, miss it. Our favorite park is Benson Palms beside the wildlife park, nice place to ride the bikes. We have stayed at Victoria, Rockport and, Harlingen, but like the Mission area the best. Mc Allen is nice if you are going in to Progresso much ,but we don't mind the drive.

RE: C's less trouble than A's ?

We had a pusher and hubby was tired of the upkeep. Upkeep on a gasser is a lot less work. As far as expense, smaller tires, get oil changed anywhere, no air dryers, filters don't cost a fortune. There were times we wished we had kept our last gas MH before we got the diesel but all the bells and whistles were nice but lots of upkeep. We even opted for a non slide so we don't have to maintain seals and motors. lol

RE: Which one of these C's would you buy?

A lot of small companies rent their units 2 years then turn them over, I bought a unit with 14,000 miles on it when we downsized. No problems, I looked at a new Chateau but liked the Winnebago better.

RE: Towing with a Class C

I occasionally tow my 4500 lb Saturn behind our E350 Ford 10, MH has a 5000 lb hitch, it pulls fine but I know its back there.

RE: QUEEN BED WITH ROUNDED CORNERS

I use queen size sheet with elastic all around on our corner bed, then put our travel sack which has sheets inside on top. Looks like a bedspread. But I have just used the all elastic queen , with a regular top sheet.

RE: Florida Help!!!!

Lake Louisa is in central FL west of Orlando, you could probably get 2 weeks there and 2 weeks somewhere else, normal Feb temp there is low 70's but last year was 80's we had a very warm winter.

RE: Looking to try RGV next year

We like the Mission area, very little wind, no cane fields and lots of dancing.

RE: Class C

We bought a 24 E 350 and it was all over the place towing a 4000 lb Vue. Had the front end alleined(sp) at a good truck shop . Weighed it, set the tire pressure per Michelin chart and it is fine. Doesn't drive like a diesel but I'm fine with it. 45 to 50 in tow haul is what we get on our PA mountains. If you have a 450 it should be towing fine. Personally I would never buy from a dealer who wouldn't allow a test drive, never heard of that before. Good Luck

RE: Legoland Florida

Cypress Campground is nice and near Legoland. Go to RVparkreviews.com to check out the campground (it has a 7.5) and is located near Winter Haven, also check out Haines City and Winter Haven restaurants.Believe me there are many. Manneys'(open at 4 in Haines city is good as is Egg City(open for breakfast and lunch also in Haines City. We winter in Haines City. Tampa and Ft Wilderness are too far away because the morning and evening commute is a bear.

RE: how to find seasonal RV rental in FL

If you don't mind central Florida try Westviewridge.com With the climate change Haines City inland from Sarasota had 80 and 90 degrees last Jan and Feb. A very friendly park. Bear in mind, most people rent for the season Nov to April but there are units and sites available for your time frame somewhere. The closer you get to N Fort Myers the higher the rent. I stayed for a week at Raintree 3 years ago in our RV and it was about 500 dollars. At that time we had a big unit. Good Luck
