RE: Towing with a Class C

I occasionally tow my 4500 lb Saturn behind our E350 Ford 10, MH has a 5000 lb hitch, it pulls fine but I know its back there.

RE: Good campground close to Penn State?

Check out RVparkreviews.com there may be a small campground not too far away.

I use queen size sheet with elastic all around on our corner bed, then put our travel sack which has sheets inside on top. Looks like a bedspread. But I have just used the all elastic queen , with a regular top sheet.

RE: Florida Help!!!!

Lake Louisa is in central FL west of Orlando, you could probably get 2 weeks there and 2 weeks somewhere else, normal Feb temp there is low 70's but last year was 80's we had a very warm winter.

RE: Looking to try RGV next year

We like the Mission area, very little wind, no cane fields and lots of dancing.

RE: Class C

We bought a 24 E 350 and it was all over the place towing a 4000 lb Vue. Had the front end alleined(sp) at a good truck shop . Weighed it, set the tire pressure per Michelin chart and it is fine. Doesn't drive like a diesel but I'm fine with it. 45 to 50 in tow haul is what we get on our PA mountains. If you have a 450 it should be towing fine. Personally I would never buy from a dealer who wouldn't allow a test drive, never heard of that before. Good Luck

RE: Legoland Florida

Cypress Campground is nice and near Legoland. Go to RVparkreviews.com to check out the campground (it has a 7.5) and is located near Winter Haven, also check out Haines City and Winter Haven restaurants.Believe me there are many. Manneys'(open at 4 in Haines city is good as is Egg City(open for breakfast and lunch also in Haines City. We winter in Haines City. Tampa and Ft Wilderness are too far away because the morning and evening commute is a bear.

RE: how to find seasonal RV rental in FL

If you don't mind central Florida try Westviewridge.com With the climate change Haines City inland from Sarasota had 80 and 90 degrees last Jan and Feb. A very friendly park. Bear in mind, most people rent for the season Nov to April but there are units and sites available for your time frame somewhere. The closer you get to N Fort Myers the higher the rent. I stayed for a week at Raintree 3 years ago in our RV and it was about 500 dollars. At that time we had a big unit. Good Luck

RE: RV Tours

We bought the Milepost and did Alaska alone, that said we did a caravan(destination ) trip to Calgary because all the campgrounds were full and they offered transportation and really good seats for the parade and stampede. We also met up with a caravan for the Rose Bowl parade. They had parking at the racetrack and great seats and transportation . Depends on where you are going, we have done all of US and Canada alone but those 2 trips suited our plans.

RE: Looking to try RGV next year

The closer you stay to Mission, the less wind you will have. We have tried all areas and liked that the best. You can line dance everyday in the valley ,parks are open to the public and all the types of dances are staggered so they aren't at the same time. You can bike inside the birding center and on several trails. Benson Palms gives free admission to the birding center

RE: driving my new class c

Ours wandered and was loose in the front end. Had it aligned and caster was changed, weighed and correct tire pressure for wt. drives like a dream.

RE: 2009 Coachman Freelander Class C

I didn't see any jacks listed or back up cameras. I bought my stripped down 24V with generator and awning, TV no sat, tank cleaner and elec step, 2012 with 14,000 miles and new 2014 Michelin tires in 2015 , from a dealer for 34,000. If no slide, jacks, or camera, he should take less. I would stay away from anything with a front window as they tend to leak. Also the Chevy usually has a 3500 lb hitch. The corner bed is a pain, we had one years ago in a trailer so I have a bed sack(big sleeping bag) that we use. I bought my class C here in PA but prices in FL tend to be lower. I sold our pusher in FL for less than book. FL heat does a number on the plastic vents and I can't see any Max covers over any , also check dome over shower. Does it have an electric step and a tank cleaner? His listing doesn't tell anything so I don't know what he meant by loaded, stuff I can see on pic are standard. If you are in FL, down 27 across from the Haines City Lowes is a newer Class C with a slide for 29, 999 sale by owner. I meant to stop and look at it before we left but ran out of time.

RE: Easy safe? Older Folks to get in and out of overcab bed?

Check out the Winnebago bunk ladders, they have reg steps not rungs, at least ours does. Like you we downsized, no bells and whistles, just something I can drive and room for the great grand kids.

RE: Buying a Former Rental Class C. How many of us out there?

Welcome to the forum. We also bought a Chalet in 2015. No problems other than a failed cutoff valve on the propane tank. Only thing we didn't check on the inspection. I had never known of one to fail and probably would not have found it except I left the thermostat on and heard the furnace running.I suspect it was not working for a long time and no one knew it.

RE: What cars will tow behind a class c motorhome?

Find out what wt you can tow. Our 2008 Saturn View tows but is a little heavy 4000 lb for our E350 with a 5000 lb hitch. We used to tow a Cavalier back before we had a diesel. Look in the RV ads, there you can find vehicles already set up to tow. we plan to sell our Vue next year and will advertise on the RV sites. Good Luck

RE: dentist nuevo progreso

Apple clinic, my partial is 6 years old, plastic, he was VERY particular. My dentist who wanted to charge 1200 for same thing was impressed. He also did a crown which my insurance paid for. $200 opposed to twice that in states.

RE: Newer RVs that are hard to winterize.....grrrrr

Our 2012 24 ft Winnebago has a hole in the plywood under the bed. You can see the water tank and turn the 2 valves needed to winterize.
