RE: Moving over from Hybrid Forum

I just moved from an HTT to a TT also. Been out on 2 different 4 day trips and just love it. We just got back a couple of hours ago from the Keys. DW stated during the drive, how much easier it was set up and pack up. You'll love it, best of luck and welcome to the best side.

RE: Marathon Fl restaurant recommendation

We're currently in Marathon, last night was DW birthday so I took her to Sunset Grill. It was all you guys said it was, thanks for the recommendation. Being originally from Chicago, I found a great Chicago style lunch spot called Seaside Dawgs n Beef, it was like being back home, great food if your a hotdog or Italian beef and sausage lover. Stopping by No Name Pub today. Thanks all for the recommendations. No substitute for experience.

North Carolina between Charlotte and Ashville

Grandson is graduating H.S. next May. I know it's early but I'm anal when I get a thought in my head. DW and I want to go up for his graduation and also visit the Ashville area. Besides Campfire Landings does anyone have any recommendations for a place between Charlotte and Ashville? We have a 30 ft travel trailer, FHU is preferred but not required. Thanks for the help. No substitute for experiemce.

RE: ReserveAmerica - time you make reservations FL State Park ?

Tan man, I agree with your post but I'd also like to see reservations 11 months out for Florida residents and 6 months out for out of state residents.

RE: looking to upgrade from hybrid to hard sided for room...

We recently sold or HTT which had plenty of sleeping area but very little living area. We bought a 2013 Kodiak 279 rbsl. It's 30 ft with slideout on each side giving us plenty of living area. It also has a sofa sleeper and of course the dinette turns into a sleeper. Best of all, it actually has a bathroom with a full sized shower. It's just me and the DW now until the grand kids come. We went to RV shows for 3yrs and every time we went we came back to this floor plan. We love it. Good luck.

RE: What Did You Do For Your Travel Trailer Recently?

Just got a Oxygenics BodySpa shower head yesterday and will be installing it today. Have already added some hangers and hooks in my front storage area in hopes of keeping that area a little more organized.

Anastasia SP site pros and cons

I just booked site #121 at Anastasia SP,Jan. 2014. We are meeting snowbird friends from PA, who are in site # 117. Does anyone have pros or cons on site #121? We have never camped here and I have read RVParkReviews but was looking for someone with experience on this specific site. Any other comments about the CG would be appreciated also. RE: Sarasota or Venice FL

I will recommend 2 places. Myaaka River SP in Sarasota and CampVenice in Venice. Obviously Myaaka is a SP with lots to see and do. CampVenice is a private campground on the Myaaka River with a pool, canoeing/kayaking and other ammenities to keep you busy.

Lake Lanier Isles campground

I recently read where the campground @ Lake Lanier Isles is being renovated. I have read plenty of negative posts in ref to the campground. Does anyone have any info on the supposed renovations? We stayed at one of the resorts a number of years ago and really enjoyed the area and would love to camp there if the renovations are in fact happening. Thanks or the help.

RE: Sold our Shamrock 233!

Recently did the same thing. Both boys are now married and working full time so the DW and I decided it was time to get a TT with more living space instead of sleeping space. So far we're really happy with our decision. As you stated, the info gained from this forum was invaluable during the 6 yrs we had our HTT. Best of luck with your TT.

RE: another fort wilderness question

Only place I've ever smelled the horses was right where the trail crosses the road as you enter the campground.

Camp Venice..Venice Fl

Does anyone have any info on this campground? Their website provides minimal info and there is only 1 recent review on RVParkReviews but it does appear to be positive. We have a 30 travel trailer and any info would be appreciated. No substitute for experience.

RE: fort wilderness question

The only way to get to Magic Kingdom from the campground is to take the boat. Other parks can be accessed by taking the buses which can be picked up near the front f the campground.

1st trip

Finally got my new Kodiak 279rbsl and will be leaving for FW in a few hours for a long weekend. I know everyone wants pics so I'll take a few and post them when I get back. DW is as excited as a kid on Christmas morning and I'm just looking forward to some r&r. Kids are all grown and we are annual pass holders so we only do what we want to do, when we want to do them.

RE: Florida State Park Road Trip

Gotta agree with Myaaka River SP. there is so much to see and do there, if you're really not into the beach than I would skip Oscar Sherer and do Myaaka River instead. Lake Louisa is just a short drive to Walt Disney World if you're interested. Anastasia is great for the beach as well as touring St Augustine. Sounds like you'll have a great time.

RE: Roof vent cover

Put them on my old trailer after leaving the vent open and the floor and dinette got wet when it rained while we were gone. Lesson learned, had the dealer put them on my new trailer before I picked it up.
