Wow, a working cattle ranch sounds like fun and fresh beef too, you can't beat that. I love a good steak.
Sounds like you guys are having a great time, have an extra steak for me Vince, there's nothing like a fresh steak right off the ranch.....uummmm good.

OMG, I Love Sweet Baby Ray's bbque sauce!
And I thought that I was the only one in the group that worked on the 4th and all the other holidays. I got here to where I park the truck at 0330 and to the house at 0345 and just got to bed at the time that you where getting up Vince at 0400. I have not worked that late since I left Vons. I have pretty much been a day driver since I started this job, starting my day between 0400 and 0700 then knocking off 14 hours later for my 10 hours off then back up and at it again for another 14. Kinda feel like a zombie now cause I could not sleep past 9am. It's going to be a rough day if I don't get a nap this afternoon before the festivities.

Hope Everyone Has A Happy 4th Of July!
I'm kickin it up here in Lathrop CA in a Days Inn Hotel. The tractor was in the shop yesterday and last night. I had been working the old girl I guess a little to hard so she needed a little maintenance/computer work as the stop engine light came on. I got her back this morning at 6am and I am ready now to roll south back to LA for the holiday weekend, if they get me a load.

I don't know about saving energy but it was mighty warm here yesterday! I had the A/C blazing, it's a good thing I am not home very much anymore, I hate those $300 to $600 dollar electric bills!

Well I am up here in Oregon heading to Washington for a delivery on Monday Morning. I have about 3 hours to drive today to get to the truck stop that I want to stay at today that is about 30 miles south of my delivery point. I'll hang out there all day and start in the morning at 0600 for a 0730 delivery appointment at the coca-cola hub that I am delivering too from the bottling plant in American Canyon CA where I loaded at.
I Want To Wish All The Fathers Out There A Happy Fathers Day To All.

A fun time was had by all at the Dodger/Angel game. Nicky is one tired boy and he came home with a souvineir baseball! We also went to the Pomona RV show today. All in all, a pleasant O.C. weekend.
That's Great that Nicky and you guys had A Great Time.
How was the RV show?

That is Heavy Stuff There.
Man I take the truck in for a simple B-Service (AKA-oil change) cause it was due and that was on Sat afternoon and they keep finding extra stuff wrong with it which surprises me cause it's been working great for me and very reliable and it's still in the shop.
Their killing me cause I get paid by the mile and I am loosing money at this point, plus I must admit that I am getting restless and feel like I need to get going and get on the road…..LOL.
I have always been such a home body that when I told my daughter that she said that I must be loosing my mind……LOL

Home Sweet Home, for a few days then back on the road. The truck was due for service so I left her with the shop. Hope to be rerolling on Monday afternoon.

Vince, I like that idea, there are a few rv parks here.
Still sitting here waiting for my dispatcher to find me something headed south. Then I'll make my delivery and head too the house for my 48 hours off. Then to the shop first thing on my day back on duty for service. I have been putting some miles on this old girl but she is a good ole truck, been reliable so far, she's been a good ole girl, I think I'll keep her......LOL

Thanks Dwight. And yes I will take my time and always drive safe, I have too, the truck is governed at 60mph and will not go faster then that.....LOL. It's like a slow ride to china.
Yeah I forgot what a real road job was until I got this, I put in about 400 to 600 miles a day at 10 to 14 hours a pop.
I just got home yesterday at 1600 and I started my day in Corning CA at 0530, put in 545 miles with a 15 minute fuel stop at the Pilot in Lost Hills CA (Hwy 5 @ Hwy 46). I started my trip the day before at Clackamas OR which is just a few miles southeast of Portland OR at 0600 and deadheaded 105 miles to Eugene OR, got there at 0830-left there at 0945, picked up a load at a Weyerhaeuser Wood Facility for a Pallet Company in Colton CA that delivers tomorrow at 1330. Drove Friday from the pick up point to Medford OR where I took a few hours (1300 to 1530) at the Pilot there for Fuel which was almost 100 gallons which entitled me to a free shower and a free Subway so I took advantage of them both then drove another 200 miles till I got to the Flying J in Corning CA at 1930 where I put it to bed for the night for my 10 hours off with 514 miles under my belt for that day.
Home now for my 36 to 48 hours off that I am entitled too every weekend and will start my day tomorrow at 1215 for delivery then over to City of Industry to GSF (McDonalds) for a 1700 pick up time going to Stockton with a 0630 delivery appointment time in the morning. I will get to Stockton at or around 0100 to 0200 in the morning. Dang now that is some trucking!!!!

Got myself a real road job and I am up here in Oregon right now and man is it nice up here with lots of campgrounds, kinda far from So Cal though.
You do realize that unlike So. Cal Orgonian's don't tan they rust!!
That's funny you should say that as the sun is out now but yesterday and most of last night & this early morning it was raining.
I hope they get me a load today to head back to So Cal cause I am suppose to be scheduled off for my 36 to 48 hours on 5-16 returning to work on 5-19.
On The Road Again, Here We Go On The Road Again, I think if I get a load!!!!
