RE: Portable Generator won't power TH.
If you are connecting to the generator with a 30 to 15 amp adapter (a normal house type plug), then your adapter is probably bad. They only cost a few bucks so it probably wouldn't hurt to give it a try. A 15 amp adapter is getting pushed real hard to run the AC, so that's why I'm thinking the adapter may be bad.

I'd rather have the tank expand downward rather then upward, thus damaging the floor, like what happened to a friends thor. I've owned three ww's, all tanks were mounted the same way, never had an issue in prolly 30k + miles.
I agree with Rebel. Mine did this too and I called WW about it soon after its purchase. They said it was purposely built that way to make the tank supports the weak link, to prevent floor and wall damage when the tank is overfilled.
