RE: This is the end of May, Memorial Day weekend, Right?

Man I'm looking forward to some "COOL" days. It's been in the 80's & 90"s up here in Southeastern Michigan. Have to run the A.C. to sleep right. This weekend it's dropping back down to the high 60's.
I was thinking we blew right through Spring and into hot summer.

RE: The importance of stability

Chocking the wheels is "Set Up 101", even if you THINK it's level ground.
==================================
Chocking both sides is first & last thing I do. After the trailer is level side to side I chock all four wheels with BAL chocks. Then I disconnect the trailer from the TV. Last thing I do before pulling out is un-chock the wheels ( ALWAYS).

Northwest Indiana Campground ???

Wife wants to visit friends in Chicago area. I HATE driving in Chicago so I'm asking, are there any campgrounds with full hook-ups in the Northwestern part of Indiana?? Then I could just drive from there to Chicago without the trailer.
Many thanks,

RE: %#$ salesman

I agree that the salesman should not have sold them the trailer, but it'll be useless demanding to get their money back. The trailer is now used, and no one would take it back. But, at the end of the day, the guy with the Tacoma should have done his homework and is now responsible for his set up. Probably an expensive lesson to learn.

RE: Travel trailer Keystone Hornet

30 Amps is NOT a lot of power. The Air Conditioner alone will draw 12 to 16 Amps.
Coffee maker 5 to 8 Amps
Refrigerator in electric mode: 5 to 8 Amps.
Toaster : 7 to 10 amps
Microwave: 8 to 13 amps.
Doesn't take much.
Our new trailer has 50 Amp service. Just so you know the difference a 30 Amp Service can handle a total of 3,600 Watts.
A 50 Amp service can handle a total of 12,000 Watts.
Big difference..

RE: Campgrounds Reno Nevada

I was just wondering what is the best campground in Reno Nevada you have visited. We have a TT approx 30' and two dogs. Thank you for your assistance. Happy Trails.

You'll probably get more response if you post this message in the "RV Parks, National Parks, State Campgrounds & More " section and not in the "Trailers" section.

Our dog gets antsy after two hours so we pull over and let her do her business and we stretch our legs. Works for everybody.

If that does not work they say a bag of ice generally will.. I replaced mine with the Horst sensors. No more issues.

RE: Installing a Fantastic vent with proper sealant

Sorry guys, but the day I replace an Air Conditioner with a vent fan is the day I quit camping. I've had to sleep with power outages in the middle of summer. Never again!!!!
These tiny boxes with four wheels get real hot in the sun. I'm so glad God invented Air Conditioning... :):R:B:C

Look at it this way. You now have the only "green machine" going down the road. You may start a trend.
Let's see, pink or light blue maybe??? ;)

RE: Cougar 321RES trailer width??

You'll love it, BillB800si! We're on our 3rd season with the 321RES and couldn't be happier.
============================
Always nice to hear from a satisfied customer.
Just found out that the wall to wall dimension of the opposing slide outs is 12 ft. 6½ inches. Now I can do some more research on furniture.

RE: Denali package

Well if you're buying used there shouldn't be any transportation fees. That's for new units transported from the manufacturing plant to the dealer....
In Michigan there is a $200 one time license plate fee to the State.
There's Michigan Sales Tax.
There shouldn't be any prep fees etc... This used unit should have been reconditioned & checked out before they put it on the lot for sale.
Now if you really want to know what used prices are then go to Yahoo - Google - Bing (etc..) search engines and enter the year and model number of the trailer you're interested in.
Then start your research by checking out all the prices. You also can go to Craigs list and RV Trader to check some prices.
You'll need time to do this.

RE: Cougar 321RES trailer width??

Bill, glad to hear that you found a floor plan that you like. Just incase you are wondering, our Jayco 330RLTS has now been trouble free for 10 months.
=========================
Boy I sure tried to get my hands on one of those Jayco's but it wasn't meant to be. After months of checking around we finally decided on the Keystone Cougar High Country 321RES. One issue I had with the Jayco was that 1400# tongue weight. That's a lot of weight. The Keystone tongue weight is only 865#.
Informed that today (5/16/2013) they are building my Cougar. Hopefully we will get it next week.
Glad to hear you're happy with your Jayco- They make good trailers.

Cougar 321RES trailer width??

Was wondering if anyone knows the total width of the trailer when both opposing slides are open?
We're trying to determine if we have room to extend two opposing sofa beds at the same time.

Surge Guard Universal Lock ??

I'm a little confused with this Surge Guard Universal Lock. Looks to me like if someone wanted to steal it just unplug it from the power post and then unplug the 50 Amp cable from the trailer and walk off with it.
Or am I missing something here??

RE: Lacrosse or Sprinter?

The 2013 Lacrosse Touring Edition Model 327RES has NO exterior access door on the curb side of the trailer.
Even their Rep. said it was a bad decision to remove the second door on the 2013 models.
